Construction was founded by songwriter Chris D (real name Chris Djritschek) with 2 other male singers and dancers, Helmut Wolff and Huso Bajric. They released their first single Oh Girl in 1991. Second single Sex Is Like Fire featured vocals by Angela Martin. Both were produced by The Movement (Frank Hassas, Jürgen Wind and Olaf Jeglitza aka O'jay). Can You Feel It was produced and written by Chris D himself.

In 1996, boys band were fashionble again, and Construction were back. Project included not less than 7 boys. New members were Wesley (acrobatic dancer), KayCee, Bobby J, and Mikel.

Their single What Is In Love included a Radio Mix, an Extended Mix, a Spring Break Mix, and a Progressive House of Love Mix. Music and lyrics were written by Klaus Hanslbauer, Gernot Rothenbach, Andy Goldstein and Mike Vigas. It was produced by Tillman Uhrmacher (who also stood behind the project TNT Party Zone, among others) and Marc Cassandra for Red Deer Recording Studios GmbH, coproduced by Nino Tielmann. The executive producer was Harold Faltermeyer. It was recorded and mixed by Sm-Studio Frankfurt, published by Kilauea musikverlag GmbH (Sony Music Entertainment Germany). It went #58 in the German charts and was featured on the Swiss compilation Bravo Hits 14.

My Heart Is Always Open was a ballad. The CD maxi contained 4 versions of the song and a bonus. It was #95 in the German charts. Call Me was a dance track, weaker than their first one.

2011 : Helmut Wolff and Chris Djuritschek decided to bring back Construction. They signed a record deal with records company Loud Space Records and released a new single entitled Get Funky.
