Diane Charlemagne biographyDiane was born in Great Britain in the 2nd February 1964. She started her carreer workeing with 52nd Street (as songwriter and leadvocalist, in the late eighties), Michael Penn, Cool Down Zone (a project she founded with Nelee Hooper) and Nomad Soul (with Howie B and Dobie). She also did vocals on Metalheads' single Angel. Then she became the female vocalist for the project Urban Cookie Collective. After a first collaboration in 1991, she worked in 1994 together with Drum n' Bass star Goldie. She sung on the Timeless EP. This 21 minutes during work was cut in 3 integrated songs. All of them where released later. Inner City Life which has her vocals became a hit in the UK. It's Goldie's biggest succes so far (Timeless sold platinum). In 1999 her voice was featured by Satoshi Tomiie for the songs Come To Me, Inspired and Sincerity. The same year she also appears on the K-Klass album K2 with some other vocalists. In 2000 she collaborated with Josh Abrahams on the song Rollin. She also worked with various projects such as Lemon D, JX, Wand and Mindfeel. More recently she worked with Moby, contributing to the vocals of many songs such as Everytime You Touch Me and Porcelain. She also released a solo single entitled Liberate, under Pressure Records. 2003 : she contributed to Hi-Gate album, doing vocals on the track Only The Silence. 2006 : Diane wrote her solo album with Sylvan Richardson (from Simply Red and Ian Brown). She appeared on the track Don't Follow, on Cyantific's album Ghetto Blaster. She also visited the track High on 2020Soundsystem's album No Order and the track Good Sound / Rough on Aquasky's album Teamplayers.
