Champagne biography

Michal Jirák was born 2/6/1963 in Prague. After a grammar school education and a cursus in Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as piano training, he started his musical carreer as a DJ. Then in 1991 he got a job in a radio station

Around 1993, he started a collaboration with Jirka Vatka (Mute Cs) as N-sonic and released 2 instrumental albums. Afterwards, he worked with Michal Šetka as Magic Keys. Then he founded Champagne project.

In 1995 an album was released. It featured 5 tracks from Champagne, along with tracks from 2 other groups Magic Keys and N-sonic. It was released under the label Popron Music and entitled Bonbony.

They released Save Me! as videoclip only. It did well for several weeks in the then popular ESO TV chart. They also released a promo maxi entitled Give Me The World

A second album was recorded but never released.
