Tony Catania biography
Antonio (aka Tony Catania, Tony Carrasco oder Tom Civic) Nunzio Catania was born in Sicily. He did studies in the musical conservatory "Francesco Guccini" in Bologna (classic guitar, transverse flute, piano and history of music). He created his own band, T.D.F., and won the Rock Festival in Bologna. The he started working as composer with Antonello Venditti, and scored a #1 in the Italian charts with the song Buona Domenica. During the same peirod, he composed together with Adriano Celentano many movie soundtracks. Then he moved to Germany.
Antonio started working with Frank Farian on various projects, for instance Milli Vanilli. 3 years later, he met the producer DJ Hooligan and they started collaborating together.
Often with Ingo Kays, wrote and produced many Eurodance singles.
One of his most successful artists was probably Scatman John... He also collaborated with the famous German producer Alex Christensen for the project Wave Kid.
In 1998, Tony met the topmodel Marcus Schenkenberg, and together with the artist and producer Jean Beauvoir they released La Chica Marita. A few weeks later, the single was included on the soundtrack of Robert De Niro movie Flawless.
