Jasmin Wagner was born 20 April 1980 in Hamburg. Her father Fritz Jochim is German and her mother Marija Wagner is Croatian. She has a brother called Christian. Jasmin began performing as a cheerleader for the Hamburg Blue Angels, a squad associated with the Hamburg Blue Devils American football team.

In 1995, after meeting producers Stani Djukanovic and Arn Schlürmann during an NDW-party, she started her musical career under the name Blümchen. She was only 15. Her first single Herz an Herz sold over 340 000 copies. It was followed by Kleiner Satellit (Piep, Piep), whose success was moderate. Third single Boomerang became a megahit. In May 1996 she released her first album called Herzfrequenz. The album was also released in an English version called Heartbeat under the name Blossom. There are rumors according to which some vocals were actually done by Alexandra Prince.

In September 1996, the single Du und Ich was released and in November 1996 Blümchen released a cover of Queen's Bicycle Race which was also included in the Queen Dance Traxx compilation. In April 1997 she released Nur Geträumt, a cover of a song originally released by Nena. This was the first single to be released from her second album Verliebt which was released in May 1997. Single Verrückte Jungs shortly followed. In the beginning of August 1997 the English version of Verliebt was released under the title In Love and in mid-September slow ballad Gib Mir Noch Zeit was released.

She is considered as one of the most successful German female singers of the 1990s. Her hobbies are going to the movies, cheerleading, dancing and inline skating. She likes eating sushi and pasta. Her favorite actors are Tom Hanks, Demi Moore, Jodie Foster

2001 : Blümchen announced she retired after the 2001 tour, to focus her career on some other projects. She starrred in the movie Driven and became moderator of the Disney Filmparade.

2002 : Jasmin appeared as moderator for TV show "teen star" (Popstars 3) in Germany.

2003 : she did a comeback with the single Leb Deinen Traum under her real name, Jasmin Wagner, but single was not very succesful.

2004 : she released her single Helden Wie Wir on April 13th.

2006 :Jasmin released a new single entitled single Männer Brauchen Liebe on March 31st, followed by the album Die Versuchung on April 15th.

2010 : Boomerang was co-opted as part of an Internet campaign in early 2010 against real-TV show Deutschland sucht den Superstar. In an attempt to prevent the winner Mehrzad Marashi's debut single, Don't Believe, from reaching #1 in the charts, Boomerang was massively purchased online, driving it to #7 in the charts, higher than its 1996 peak, but still not high enough to unseat Don't Believe

01/05/2010 : Blümchen is currently rising up in the german charts... Wheareas she did not release any new single. There is currently a competition going on on Amazon download. The fans buy per digital download her single Boomerang to kick away the DSDS winner Mehrzad Marashi from position #1 in the chart. It already reached #2. After this amazing boom, Boomerang was released on CD again this Monday 26th April 2010. Several Facebook fanpages about Blumchen were created, and she was also a guest at the Oliver Pocher's TV Show, performing Boomerang live for the first time after 14 years. 24/03/2009 : Blumchen will be among the members in the jury of the contest das Song on German channel KiKa. She is working on a new album. She is also playing in the serie Schwarze Schafe on the channel ZDF. (thanks to eurodance blog)
