Aqua Vita biographyUkrainian project Aqua Vita (Аква Віта) was formed in 1993 by Igor Balan and Natalia Luchnikova in Kirovograd, Ukraine. Their first live performance took place on the 19th of September 1993 at Kirovograd Day celebration. In 1994 the band released it's debut album Neskazani slova ("Not said words") under the label Elema. One year later Aqua Vita participated at the festival Chervona Ruta '95 and reached the final. But during the festival Natalia Luchnikova left the group. In two weeks before the final DJ Andrew Mishura, who worked on Kirovograd Radio, aquainted Igor Balan with Irina "Phila" Filatova. So, Irina became a new vocalist of Aqua Vita. In 1996 Aqua Vita released the second album, which was entitled Tekhnotronutyi ("Techno-touched") under the label NAC (National Audio Company). The same year the group started collaborating with Terytoriya A Producers Centre. In 1998 the band released the new album A teper use inakshe ("Now everything is different"), which became the most successful album of Aqua Vita. In 1999 Aqua Vita stopped collaboration with Terytoriya A Producers Centre. The same year Aqua Vita released its 4th album Tilky ty ("Only You"). One year later the album Novaya Igra ("New Game") was planned to be released. But Aqua Vita's history turned into different way. In 2000 the group split, so, the album never got released (it only exists as mp3, available for downloading on Igor Balan's website). Since 2000 Igor and Irina went solo. Irina created a pop-rock band Phila. She recorded an EP called Ne Vidane. But the band hadn't any support and split very soon.
