Brazlian duet J & V prepared a special treat for every eurodance fan : an EP called Back To The 90s. Including 5 tracks, it starts with the lovely tuneIn Your Mind, whose melody reminds a little bit of Corona The Rhythm Of The Night. Then comes the euro-reggae song Crazy For You, sunny and uplifting. Third track is the original version Angel Of Love, their current single, which has already been reviewed earlier. After we have the nice garage track Don't Tell Me Lies. And eventually, Brazilian Sound, another excellent eurodance track. An upbeat and energised production which oozes positivity, with sweet and sincere vocals. All 5 tracks are perfect potential party season pleasers...

J & V Biography

J & V stand for brother and sister Jair & Vanise first names. Their first official single Angel Of Love was released last october. Angel Of Love is a sweet dance song, combining smooth and melancholic vocals with inspiring and amazing synths which will blow you away for sure. My favourite version on the maxi is of course the Original Eurodance Mix. Enfortro Euro mixes also sound great. J & V could become one of the most exciting new acts around. Let's wish them a lot of success !

When 2 big names of eurodance new scene unite, we can hope that the result can't be else than awesome. Ernest Kohl is back with a brand new single. The maxi contains not less than 30 different remixes (a record !), ranging from Hi-NRG to electro, and I guess it won't be easy for you to chose your favourite. Ernest's smooth as silk and sensual vocals glide over delicate synth lines, with a bouncy beat which simply demand to be grooved to.

Ernest Kohl Biography

Italian DJ and producer Stefy De Cicco is known for contributing to Italo-makina project X-Ander during the 90s. With Claudio Fabbri, he scored hits with singles such as Die Musik Maschine or Achtung...Tanzen!. Since 1999, he's been featuring various names of club scene. His most recent release, Deep Down Inside Of You, feature none other than dance diva Dhany. The single comes along with 4 mixes : Elegance radio mix, Avantgarde radio mix, Elegance extended mix and Avantgrade extended mix. An emotive and beautiful house record with stunning vocals and impeccable production. 2012 seems to be a very prolific year for Dhany...

Stefy de Cicco feat Dhany Biography

After a first single Hellgirl which featured Vivian B, former frontlady and vocalist of eurodance project Da Blitz, Snookers (DJs duet Sciup & D'Asse) are back with a new single, this time featuring female vocals by Angie and male vocals by Marek.
Lyrics were written by Neal Antone Dyer aka Tony T, who did raps on so many eurodance masterpieces during the 90s (Blue Heart, Night People, HAD, Future City, Interface...), and more recently fronted RIO during several years. Under a nice, colorful sleeve, single comes along with 2 versions (Video edit mix and Radio mix), plus a multimedia track with the song's videoclip. With a bouncing, carefree sound reminding a little bit of a girly LMFAO, this single could be a summer anthem...

Torino based I-Team was founded by Stefy De Cicco (X-ander) and Sciup & D’Asse (Snookers feat. Vivian B, former Da Blitz vocalist). Their first single Love Tonight, an original track aimed fairly and squarely at the dancefloor, feature vocals by dance diva Dhany, who also contributed to the songwriting. Also contributed to composition, production and arrangements : Luigi Modolo, Simone Ermacora, Alberto Ventura and Fabrizio Dassetto. A hot track with synth lines which glisten between infectious and driving bassline, coming with not less than 7 remixes to fit everyone's taste. Another essential package for house addicts.

Without You (I Feel Blue) was released in 2003, so this is a retrospective review. Soularis delivers a melancholic and dreamy trance single featuring vocoded vocals by Julia. 8 remixes to take you on a trance, house and progressive trip. The single won the 2003 Billboard Songwriter's Contest in the Dance category, but Soularis never got the record deal they normally deserved after this.

Soularis Biography

Released in 2005 (but I only receive it now), Soularis' second album Versatile includes 13 tracks (among them, their hits of the moment : Without You and Bye), plus a remix of Without You (I Feel Blue) : quality tunes from beginning to end. Julia does a great job with the vocals. My favourite track on the album is Follow Me : a hooky number, featuring driving bass and a juicy synth melody. You can either party to this club-friendly album, or relax and listen to it without really thinking about it.
Versatile is very different from Soularis' first album Avalon. If you like uplifiting trance (in the style of Milk Inc's released of the same years) and progressive sounds, this album is for you. More generally, it's a must have for any avid fan of electronic music. But you will have to search a lot, since this album has become a real rarity.

Soularis Biography

Annikafiore is the stage name of Annika Kjærgaard, former member of Swedish euro-pop project Alcazar, worldwide famous for their hit Crying at the discotheque. After releasing 2 singles with DJ Mitch under the project name AVE, she went solo with the EP Preaching To The Choir. Don't Wanna C U 2nite is the first single to be taken from this EP.
Annikafiore delivers beautiful vocals which flow over a beautiful bouncy melody and grinding acid bass line. A real electro masterpiece which could become a party anthem. Comes along with a nice video and with remixes signed by SoundFactory.
