A positive message, a breathtaking intro, a superb melody (which was covered 10 years later by Groove Coverage), powerful raps by wizard Tony Dyer, and a beautiful chorus by Susi (what a pity she went further than being a studio vocalist !)

Urgent C

Wish You Were Here  LISTEN

I can't resist a track composed by Axel Breitung... Wish You Were Here was originally a Rednex lowtempo track. Featuring sweet vocals by his muse singer Christiane Lupp aka Chrissie, and a pumping and uplifting melody, it became a classic for every eurodance fan.

Masterboy

Is This The Love  LISTEN

To my opinion the best Masterboy, and among the most reprentative of the German trio (one day I think I'll have to make a top 10 of my favourite Masterboy songs). This pure euro classic needs no introduction... It did quite well in the charts, less than its predecessors however (#8 in Austria, #12 in France, #11 in Germany, #37 in Sweden, #20 in Switzerland).
And I'd really love to have the same pink fake fur coat as the lady in the videoclip.

Face II Face

I Want You  LISTEN

An amazing melody (which was re-used by Cybernetica and Dr Iggy). Featuring rapper Eric "XL" Singleton and his top-class flow (remember Modern Talking's comeback in '98 ?) and soulful vocalist Tanja K Alley. A perfect combination.
A must-have for every eurodance addict. Can't get tired of this one.

Only For Love  LISTEN

A great and rich melody that instantly catches the ear, here is the force of this track. At the very first, I did not really enjoy the ragga-rap part. After many listenings, I nowadays think it really fits the track very well.
I discovered this one on a French compilation called Le Club Des Clubs lll (with the shiny cover and the 2 tickets for a disco which never worked)

It's Raining Again  LISTEN

That's what I called eurodance ! I immediately fell in love with this track when I heard it for the first time. Composed by wizard Axel Breitung, of course, a melody which blazes the dancefloors... A pity it didn't charted, because it really deserved it.

Again a single composed by Axel Breitung (you've been warned !) and featuring multitalented rapper Tony Dyer. How comes it was not included on their album Refreshiator ? This single really deserved as much success as Fresh had the following year...

The Free

Lover On the Line  LISTEN

Strangely, first time I heard a track by The Free, I thought that the vocalist sounded so similar to Tania Evans... Again a superb eurodance track full of energy, with the typical beat that Felix J. Gauder also used a lot in E-rotic's tracks. Charles Simmons would later prove that he was not only a talented rapper, but also a wonderful singer.

Future Beat

X-Tasy  LISTEN

Strange how these eurodance tracks with a melody using this flute-like sound have something special to me... Several version of the same track were recorded with various rappers. Personally, I prefer the chorus as sung in the Past Mix (maybe because it's the version I'm the most used to), and Mark Harris' raps of the LP mix. Even if MC Hi-Hat's ragga-rap in the Past mix sound great too.

Mr Vain  LISTEN

Mr Vain was the track that made me fall in love with eurodance. A revelation. Nothing would be the same... A typical 93-94 eurodance track with its loooong rap verse. A worldwide classic dancefloor anthem (#1 in Australia, Austria, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK), several times covered (by The Axel Boys Quartet in 1996, by Age Control in 1997, by Omega in 2009, by Fresh & Lipps in 2011...).

A very powerful eurodance masterpiece produced by the Bass Bumpers (who conquered the world with The Music's Got Me), Damage Control's third single, featuring raps by Mr. CBB and vocals by Kathy D. This track is just pure energy.
