My 20 favourite French eurodance tracks
Even in France can't be considered (by far !) as on of eurodance's homelands, many excellent eurodance tracks were produced by French teams. Yes, France also brought out tracks other than funny parodies such as GO Culture or Pleasure Game (one even says that French producers had to pretend they were Belgian to be taken seriously)...

Here is an absolute masterpiece to start this playlist of the best french eurodance songs ever. A breathtaking intro that gives you goose bumps. Then it unleashes an intensely amazing, spine tingling melody. And gorgeous (uncredited) vocals by former Zouk Machine member Jane Fostin. The perfect combination.
#2
A superb eurodance track written by French producer Pascal Maton. The melody is a so beautiful and energetic ! Once again, the quintessence of eurodance is there. The perfect song to break the ice...
#3
Another irresistible track. I starts softly with an intro featuring smooth and delicate vocals... then comes a melody able to blaze the dancefloors. Maybe the ragga-rap verse is the weakest part of this awesome eurodance song. Just like many French productions, it has become quite hard-to-find nowadays...

Indra is half Swedish, half Estonian, but adopted France as her new homeland since many years. We Belong Together was composed by none other than eurodance wizard Axel Breitung... His incredible talent for not only being able to write a great melody, but also combining it to an amazing music production, is instantly recognizable. And, since the single was produced by the usual Orlando and Paul Taiclet, this is a French single ! And furthermore, this track is a real bomb, just like every Axel Breitung productions of the same period.
#5
Another project by talented French producer Olivier Renoir, featuring vocals by Helena Paul and raps by Juny. An incredible eurodance masterpiece, filled with undeniable passion and energy, that will leave you amazed and speechless. "She wanna dance and be with you. All day, all night, she'll get to you"...
#6
Another Indra single to be fueled with Axel Breitung creative genius, and another gem... Just outstanding. The perfect song to party and go crazy on. Anywhere was a Top 20 dance hit in the French official club play chart
#7
I discovered this one on a French double compilation called Best Of Dance Music. Another excellent track by the duet Istel-Beaureperre, featuring an uncredited female vocalist. The song starts smoothly then explodes like a firework. An irresistible appeal to move your feet !
#8
I love this song. It's another unstoppable eurodance track, with a melody you just can't help dancing to, a catchy chorus and great ragga-rap. Message is simple and universal : "Everybody, everybody, move !". In short, it has everything a good eurodance song should have.

Elena Zenkina aka Lena, with the collaboration of Gérard Langella and Tonio Polichiso, released 3 excellent eurodance singles, this one being her best. Caution ! It could make the walls fall off nightclubs when played at the right moment...
#10
I had discovered their first single My Name Is Revolution on compilation Dance Attitude 6, and really enjoyed this great track. But Play It Again, still featuring vocals by Anna Bee, is several degrees higher. Great vocals, superb melody, wicked beat with amazing, infectious energy to make you go crazy on the dancefloor. "Baby, play it again. You need to win the game".
#11
This was the only release by House Control. This superb eurodance track featured a vocalist called Suzanna K and an uncredited rapper, who could be, according to rumors, producer Johnny Williams himself.
#12
The original song written by Régis Ducatillon was not really exciting (even if it went #13 in the Hit des Clubs Media Control in France), but the Eurobeat Vocal Edit made by Doris Norton and featured as leadtrack on the 1995 re-release was just amazing. The superb intro gives you goose bumps. Strangely, even more than 15 years after, we still know nothing about this mysterious CJ Wilson...
#13
Produced by Benoît Marissal and Bruno Van Garsse, featuring the incredible voice of an unknown vocalist. I discovered this superb eurodance track on the Tous En Boîte compilation. Not 100% sure this one is French or Belgian, since there is a rumor according to which French producers often had to produce their dance songs in Belgium to sound more credible on the dance scene...
#14
Marcia Johnson's third single Open Your Eyes was produced by Gérard Langella (who also contributed to Lena) for the French label Elliot Music. It not only features a bright and lovely melody, but also conveys a positive message of environmental awareness and hope. "Open your eyes. There's gotta be a better way".
