My 20 favourite eurodance break-up songs
Valentine is over, and sometimes a love story has to come to an end. Wether you're the dumpee or the dumper, this playlist could help you finding the words or guide you through the stages of of a rupture. It's not because the situation is sad, that the songs have to be sad too. No weepy stuff to be found here ! It may channel your anger or your pain, and, hopefully, you'll come out feeling better. And you'll get over it.

My favourite Look Twice song, their most eurodance too. Lots of sadness in this song, a bit of frustration, and lots of truth. The whole wrapped into an amazing eurodance melody. Strangely, a quite hard to find song nowadays...
#2
The song which made me discover Masterboy. During these 2 neverending rap verses, you get all the arguments to feed your rupture speech. An amazing German eurodance track which has now become a dancefloor classic.

I Want To Be from album The Project
Not exactly a break-up song, more an argue song in which the girl explains that she needs to be free and that her boyfriend does not have to give her a talking-to everytime she comes home late at night.
#4
William Naraine's velvet crooner voice makes of this song a masterpiece of sheer emotion. A song about the despair to be betrayed by the loved one and to see the unexpected end of a love story. With rap contribution by Ice MC.
#5
One of my favourite Milk Inc song. The ultimate kiss-off to a cheating boyfriend. Full with an incredible energy, fuels with Linda's vocals and a superb trance synth melody, the song comes along with a funny video featuring Linda getting revenge on her boyfriend by throwing away Regi's things one by one by the window, in front of a helpless Regi locked insite his TV set.
#6
A high-paced eurodance gem with a touch of happy-hardcore. Nance proves in this song that she's not the kind of girl to be bossed about by a guy. Especially if the guy is a cheater and a liar. Warning : explicit lyrics... The song came long with a videoclip shot in Monaco which showed a naked guy making love next to a swimming pool. You just can't help thinking it's probably a reference to the Daniel Ducruet - Fily affair which occured one year before.

I discovered this superb eurodance track on Electronic Pleasure album. It could help you realizing that that break-up was the best thing to ever happen to you.

Fourteen 14 is one of the many eurodance projects to which Italian diva Alexia took part. The single was subtitled "Medley From : Ten Years Ago", because lyrics were actually taken from 2 different Savage (Robyx) songs : the chorus lyrics from Goodbye (released in 1989) and the verses from album track Ten Years Ago. Both mix perfectly and the result is meaningful, coming along with an amazing melody typical of DWA records best productions.

Released in 1995 under Discomagic label, this song has now become a pretty rare track. It's not a real break-up song : the singer explains to the girl who keeps on trying to seduce him that there's no use insisting. Anyway, it could also be the perfect song for that deadweight boy/girlfriend who kept stringing you along...

Get away from album Gimme Gimme Gimme
This was never released as a single, but featured on both albums Gimme Gimme Gimme and Missing You. Most E-rotic songs are about making love, this one is about a girl who tries to explain his boyfriend that it's over. A typical E-rotic song, with this powerful beat and amazing melody that you can't resist.
#11
Another fast-paced song to give you courage and make you feel like you can kick some serious ass. And anouther excellent eurodance song. Balca's emotional vocals take flight ("Can you feel the pain ?
#12
The story of a one-night love affair. Claudia's sweet and dreamy voice delicately flows over the melody, the result is a frank and captivating eurodance song. If you're the dumper and you find yourself fielding tearful dials from a desperate ex, this one is for you.
#13
I Just Got To Be Free from album You Just Want Sex
Not a single, but a track on Melanie Bender's only album You Just Want Sex. An excellent eurodance track in which she explains how things have changed, feelings have gone and that their relationship now has to come to an end. A song that will not only help you find the words, but also may also remind you of how much better you are without him/her.
#14
If you are ready to call it quits in a relationship and are looking for inspiration, here is another divorce anthem to explain your future-ex that you're through with him/her and that you don't want to give that loser any more of your precious time. "Take you love away. I don't need it anymore".
