My 15 favourite eurodance Christmas songs
Here are my 10 top Christmas and winter holiday songs. Eurodance remakes of festive classics or original songs, many eurodance artists tried the genre. Most of these songs were not released as singles, but only on Xmas compilations. So, instead of listening to the same, boring slow Xmas tracks like every year, celebrate with an upbeat and merry eurodance soundtrack !
#1
Saving us from the annual torture session of tired classics, here is an amazing and 100% original song to start this chart. Appearing on Bravo Dance Xmas compilation, this track featuring Linda Meek and Gary B is lively and spirited, perfect for your Christmas party. It's a pity it wasn't released as a single.
#2
Another full original song featured on Bravo Dance Xmas compilation only, never released as a single nor on any Odyssey album. A pure eurodance rarity, and an amazing track, nostalgic and romantic, which truly distils the spirit of Christmas.
#3
Where Will You Go (I Don't Want To Spend Xmas Alone)
Once again from 1994 Bravo Dance Xmas compilation, this wonderful gem allows Kim Sanders to show the best of her outstanding vocal skills. Lyrics are rather sad ("Don't wanna spend Christmas alone without you"), but beats and melody contribute to make of this track a real over the top Xmas anthem.
#4
Featured on the same Bravo Dance Xmas compilation as the previous ones, it was composed by the same team as Odyssey. It features a lovely piano melody and great beats. A simultaneous holiday song and plea for world peace, with the magical quality of transporting you to childhood.
#5
"Christmas time is here / A time for us to cheer / May be all your christmases be merry". Once again a lovely and uplifting Christmas anthem taken from Bravo Dance Xmas compilation, featuring raps by Turbo B who also co-wrote the lyrics, along with usual Centory musical team Alex Trime, Gary Carolla and Sven "Delgado" Jordan.
#6
Do You Hear What I Hear
When the weather outside is frightful, there really is nothing better than curling up under the duvet, or in the arms of your loved one, and listening to Melanie Thornton's beautiful voice. This is again a song featured on Bravo Dance Xmas compilation. As we all know, a few years later, Melanie would release a solo Christmas song entitled Wonderful Dream which would be used as a them for Coca Cola Xmas campaign...
#7
It starts slowly just like a classic Christmas song, but after the intro, fortunately the beat speeds up and reveals an amazing melody. A great way to spread holiday cheer. Featuring Alfredo Montero, this is a quite little-known track from this Dutch project. "Santa Claus is coming to town !"

Mr President re-recorded their hit Up'n'Away with completely rewritten lyrics to fit the theme. One year later, they also recorded a Christmas version of Coco Jamboo. Located halfway on Bravo Dance Xmas, this is the perfect soundtrack for your holiday soiree, to dance around the Christmas tree all night long
#9
It's A Rainy Day Christmas Mix
To capture the spirit of the holiday season, Ice MC completely re-wrote the lyrics of It's A Rainy Day and released it as a complete single. Still featuring Alexia's amazing vocals, this holiday edition is almost as good as the original. A must-have to get you in the mood...
#10
Feel The Christmas Night
A remake of their classic anthem Feel The Heat Of The Night. Only some words the chorus was changed, and some jingle bells sound were added. Christmas inspired the German trio several times, since they recorded a new version of Mr Feeling renamed Christmas Feeling, their own version of the classic Last Christmas, and an euro-reggae track called Wonderful Christmas Time.
#11
Weihnachten In Den Bergen
The last track on Bravo Dance Xmas 1994 compilation. A very nice crazy festive party anthem, in the characteristic K2 style, blending ragga-rap to yodl. Perfect for playing towards the tipsy end of any Holiday soiree.
#12
Just like Whigfield 10 years before, Natalie from Cascada recorded her very own version of Wham/George Michael's classic. A nice europop song, less massively handsup than Cascada's usual productions. A very nice reboot of a modern holiday classic.
#13
Christmasland from album Pharao
The last track of their first album Pharao. It starts like a ballad, but fortunately, after a little but more than 1 minute, it turns into a fast-paced dance track. You will get enchanted with this lovely song, blending Deon Blue's raps and Kyra's sweet voice. Christmasland was not released as a single, but of course appeared on Bravo Dance X-Mas compilation.
#14
Gunther And The Sunshine Girls Christmas Song (Ding Dong)
This was Günther's fifth single. Videoclip (which was censored by Swedish television) showed Mats Söderlund drinking champagne or holding a Brussels Griffon wearing a Santa hat, the sunshing girls unpacking their Xmas presents or dancing with a dwarf on the loose. Because Christmas also means having fun. Single was not as successful as Ding Dong Song but spawned a score of Youtube parodies. "It's Christmas time"
