My 10 favourite eurodance travel songs
This could be the playlist of your next trip. Each of these song is (more or less) travel or destination themed, with any way of locomotion, whatever your destination may be. From the most obvious to the rarest, they will be with you while you pack your bag, book your ticket and enjoy your trip. So, let's embark on a journey through the greatest eurodance travel tunes ever written...

Coming along with 2 videoclips, one of them being directed by Temi Akinwande, this is one of my favourite songs from this excellent German eurodance project. Riding On A Train was quite successful, since 2 sets of remixes were released, by big names such as Trime 'N Delgado et U.S.U.R.A among others. Contrarily to most Odyssey songs, lyrics were not sung by Lisa Cash, but by Suna Cope, one of the producers' wife.

I'm not sure you can call yourself a traveler if you've never made at least one trip by train... Produced by Donato Giovanni Milano, Mauro Farina and Pierluigi Cerin, mixed by Fabio Turatti and Factory Team, featuring an uncredited and unknown female vocalist, this amazing eurodance track features the typical 90s SAIFAM sound made famous by 21st Century Records label. Vinyl is almost impossible to find nowadays.

An anthem for long-distance love ? With no doubt DC-10's best song. After renaming the project DCX, they released an updated version of the song. Anyway, I still have a preference for the original (the radio edit). Joel Kalsi and his crew welcome you on board, please fasten your seatbelt and return your tray tables to their full upright position...

Another of these confidential Axel Breitung masterpieces, featuring as usual Christine Eiben. A superb and powerful track, very characteristic of Breitung's productions. It's also a rupture song. Never officially released, so it's impossible to find nowadays (not even on Bishop Audio's EuroDance digital compilations).
#5
Samira Besic's third solo single and a nice message of hope. A superb eurodance track featuring the voice of Maxx Get-A-Way, GE Con-X-ion Gotta Have The Music and Slam We Get Around, to name a few.

Driving Through The Night
Sometimes, you know for certain that it's time to move on... Another song to capture the spirit of travel. This time, by car. At that time, gas was less expensive... This lovely eurodance song produced by Franco Diaferia featured vocals by Priscilla (actually Clara Moroni) is quite impossible to find nowadays.

Trancier and more mature than the earlier singles Dub-I-Dub and Baby Boy, one of the best tracks from the eponymous album. Released in 2000, it went #8 in Denmark and #1 in airplay chart at Radio Jerusalem, and was certified gold. Air base video which is usually associated to the song looks rather like a photoshoot-making of for the album than a real videoclip...

1, 2, 3 (Train With Me)
Playahitty's second single and one of the most happy and uplifiting summer songs ever. A real party song with catchy chorus that will transform the most boring travel into real fun ! Produced by Emanuele Asti, still featuring uncredited vocals by Jenny Bersola, it went #4 in Italy, #21 in Austria and #46 In Switzerland.
#9
With the changing of seasons comes a desire for a change of scenery... Runaway Train, a cover of a song by Soul Asylum of 1993, was the first single released by TH Express (hence, the name), as they were only one of many SAIFAM studio project, and before they were fronted by Fauve and Ramses.
#10
In an interview in a French magazine many years ago, Ray told this was the 2 Unlimited song he liked the less. Windows down, gas tank full, an open road in front of you... Beware, the roaring engine sounds could make you forget the speed limitations.
