Since soccer is very popular in Europe, songs often deal with it. Here's a list of the top 10 sports anthems that will rock the stadiums and make the fan crowd go nuts ! So whether you are heading out to play or watch any sporting event, these are the top 10 sports songs to include on your playlist.
#1
Sport Is Magic featured DieRigidi (it is not known wether nickname stands for the rapper or the female vocalist). This is an excellent eurodance songs and an hymn to practicing sports. Produced by Dirk Rafflenbeul, Günter Auerhammer (aka Deep Sound System), this was Deep Sound Six's only single. A must-have for any sports music playlist.
#2
This project features the champion skater Katarina Witt as well as the voices of 3 eurodance divas : Melanie Thornton, Joan Faulkner and Linda Rocco. German figure skater and model Katarina Witt aka Kati won two Olympic gold medals for East Germany. She is a four-time World champion and twice World silver medalist. She won six consecutive European Championships, which makes her one of the most successful figure skaters of all times.
#3
E-type's single Olympia was the hymn of Swedish olympic team. It borrowed the melody of Camilla with new lyrics. It came along with a videclip showing people carrying the olympic flame all around the world, and gethering around TV sets not to miss Olympic Games 2004.
#4
Fortuantely for him, Jay Jay Okocha was a better soccer player than rapper. Augustine Azuka Okocha (nowadays retired) used to play as a midfielder. He recorded this track during his 4 years carreer at Eintracht Frankfurt. Then he enrolled in Fenerbahçe SK, Paris St-Germain, Bolton Wanderers and Hull City AFC. He was 2 times awarded BBC African Footballer of the Year and was listed in FIFA 100 greatest living players of all time in 2004. A stadium in Nigeria was named after him.
#5
E-Type's Campione, written by E-Type, Rick Blaskey and Kent Brainerd, was selected as official anthem for soccer championship Euro 2000. The song was included in E-Type's album Euro IV Ever in 2001, and in the Sport Edition of Loud Pipes Save Lives in 2004. Videclip was directed by Bjorn Lindgren.
#6
The Diver (Klinsmann Song)
Featuring Jack'n Jill, it a tribute to famous German soccerplayer Jürgen Klinsmann. He was part of the West German team that won the 1990 FIFA World Cup and the German one that won the 1996 UEFA European Championship. He gained the diver nickname because he used to dive to the ground to celebrate his goals
#7
Superboy, an homage to all soccer players of the 90s, featured vocals by Clara Moroni. The music was composed by Robyx and the lyrics written by Alexia and Sandy Chambers (who did background vocals along with Vivy and Bob). Intro voice was done by Ronnie Jones. The MC was Alessandro "Falcon" Terzi. No soccer event would be complete without this song.
#8
Let's Get Ready To Rumble
Sports fans of all ages can't help to sing along to this classic. Featuring American professional ring announcer Michael Buffer, this eurodance masterpiece by Kays-Catania is an homage to the biggest legends of boxing. "Leeeet's get ready to rumble!" is his trademarked catchphrase. Michael Buffer even appears in the video. His voice was also sampled in song Let's Get Ready To Rumble by PJ and Duncan.
#9
This is more of a rupture song. An excellent euro-trance track, full of energy, maybe the best from Forever album, with a strong beat and realistic roaring engine sound. The right song to ignites crowds at the big game
#10
In The Game (The Football Song) from album World Of Chipz
This song, in the bouncy happy style that characterizes Chipz, was featured on their second album World Of Chipz. Whatever you'll say, in Europe, soccer is spelled football. Add this song to your playlist of sports songs and you'll find yourself singing along in no time.

Deutschland schiess ein Tor
I know this is a top 10, but this one is a little bonus. Captain Jack released this single for 2010 FIFA World Cup. This was their first single in German. A great dance track, with a bit of a party-schlager touch, which will pump you up and make you want to give it your all. A hell of a sports anthem ! But did not bring luck to Germany, since Spain won.
