Annikafiore is the stage name of Annika Kjærgaard, former member of Swedish euro-pop project Alcazar, worldwide famous for their hit Crying at the discotheque. After releasing 2 singles with DJ Mitch under the project name AVE, she went solo with the EP Preaching To The Choir. Don't Wanna C U 2nite is the first single to be taken from this EP.
Annikafiore delivers beautiful vocals which flow over a beautiful bouncy melody and grinding acid bass line. A real electro masterpiece which could become a party anthem. Comes along with a nice video and with remixes signed by SoundFactory.

Leader of Belgian euro-trance movement since 15 years, Milk Inc need no introduction. Their long-awaited 5th studio album of course includes the hits Storm (#1 in Belgium), Chasing The Wind (#10 in Belgium) and newly released Fire (which is already climbing up top 10 in their home country). And the 9 other tracks of the album sure won't deceive Milk Inc fans.

No time to waste on intros, the album opens directly with the powerful track Can't A Girl Have Fun?, a high caliber track.
Then comes the current single Fire, a slamming club tune already burning the dancefloor since several weeks.
The album continues with the catchy and original War, a nice dance track with a few pop influences (and a beat reminding a little bit of 80s tracks such as Flashdance Maniac).
Then we have the lovely Everything, really in the usual Milk Inc style. Rumors say that their records company could choose it as next single.
Afterwards comes the from now on classic Storm, one of the album's highlights.
Subseqently we have the superb track New Beginning (In Your Arms). A strong, drifting, melodic track you can't help singing along with.
Next is the brilliant Shadow, with its dreamy and surreal atmosphere.
Bouncy Throwaway Boy reminds me a little bit of I Don't Care. A real electro ear-candy.
Afterwards, we have Dance 2 Forget, that most of you discovered during last year's sportpaleis concerts. An unmistakable opening and strong, exploding beats.
Then comes the amazing Nomansland, one of my favourite, which would really deserve to be the next single. Eurotrance music in every sense of the word. It pushes this album from great to excellent.
Follows the Album Version of anthem Chasing The Wind, you'll be pleased to hear this wonderful track again.
The only ballad of the album is If You Only Knew. Linda's soulful voice really contributes to make this moment magic.
The album ends (but you simply don’t want this to end) with the album version of their catchy hit Blackout, slightly different but as massive as the radio version.

This new masterpiece does not include any cover song, only original tracks written and composed by the wizards Penxten/Vandueren. The physical version of the album comes along with a nice booklet which includes lyrics and pics of Linda and Regi. They sure deserve their #1 in the Belgian iTunes album chart and in Ultratop Album Top 100. I really hope they'll reach the heights of other countries' charts as well.

The Special Radio edit of Digital Love will let you rediscover the majestic sound of this track from their previous album.
The album continues with the very interesting Gregor's Break Da Beat Mix of I'm Losing Control. Gregor Schydlo revisited the song with a more low-tempo, breakbeat ryhthm.
Back to dance with the driving synthlines and powerful rhythm of No Man's Land that will make you move your feet in no time.
Afterwards comes the Gregor's Vocal Trance Remix of Summer Of Freedom, with strong beats and a mesmerizing, cool catchy melody. A superb eurotrance track.
Closing the album, as a bonus, the Eurorap Edit of I'm Losing Control, an upbeat, bouncy dance piece in which Kitty duets with a male rapper.

OtherView are Greek DJs Vasilis Koumentakos (Dj-fence) and Dimitris Issaris (Dj-Fish) featuring vocalist Crystalia. Their single So Long was originally released in May 2010, then remixed by Davide Riva. A lovely crafted, melodic and danceable tune with an accordion sample reminding of Edward Maya or Akcent. Shanghai'd Beats is a project by Andreas Hüging (LOFT, Nik Holland etc.). James Manoro comes from Switzerland, with Italian roots from a Sicilian father. He took part to musicals, studio recordings and was lead singer in a pop band, but had always been fascinated by Italo Disco, which lead him to a successful collaboration with his current label White Rose Records.

2 years after his previous single On My Mind, he comes back with Another Lie, another true euro-disco track. Who said that Italo disco was dead ? The single is only available as vinyl, and will be later released on all known mp3 online shops.

In 2001, In-grid scored a huge hit with Tu Es Foutu. This was the beginning a very successful carreer, leading her to become one of the key figures on the Italo-house scene. She is back with her fourth studio album, completely sung in French, released at the very beginning of 2010. I am usually not very keen on songs in French, but this is a very good dance album, sure to delight all In-Grid's fans.

It starts with the current single Les Fous, a real invitation to party. Then, another of her hits, Le dragueur, with its accordion theme reminding of Tu Es Foutu. The action continues with Amour Ma Passion, a real electro declaration of love. Afterwards, we have the very catchy Chaos. Movie Star is a slammin' uptempo track. Next featured in the album is Jalousie and its bombastic electronic grooves. Afterwards, we have Les Jeux Sont Faits, a song about rupture. Then comes the hot and sexy Sweet Desire, reminding somehow of a Mylène Farmer track. Afterwards, the very unexpected and happy track Vive Le Swing. Then, the midtempo track C'est L'amour. Follows Le Cri Du Coeur, a nice dance track with a strong oriental touch. Afterwards, the brilliant Tout Pour Toi. We then have Papillonne Sur Moi, a happy song with a hard to classify style. A Ma Facon sounds very retro too, with its reggae beat and its accordion sound. The album closes with Tu Es La?, an uplifting track featuring Pochill, first released as a single back in 2005.

This is Lasgo's first album to feature their new vocalist Jelle. Probably one of the most eagerly awaited album of the year. The album keeps its promises, it is brilliant and euphoric, an irresistible invitation to trance and party. Jelle's vocals flow deliciously on superb melodies and a flawless beat.

Album starts with a short intro that opens onto a superb eurotrance track entitled Alone Tonight. Then comes the single Gone, a pleasure to rediscover. Isoris are Tim Bönigk and Mark Remien, a duet based in Hamburg, Germany. Mark Remien does the vocals. Look For Yourself is a nice house track with a little touch of ambient that was released around October 2008. Ideal for a warm-up set. The release includes a romantic ballad entitled Believe. The album Sensuality was already an amazing eurodance album. One year later, here comes the remix album. A real treat for every SEX Appeal fan.

It starts with a brand new version of Sensuality by BassUp!, who revamped it into a bouncy handsup track. Then comes the gorgeous eurodance track Voodoo Queen, a pure beauty already reviewed last year, which was not on the original album. Seventy 4 did an interesting electro house remix for Love2Love. After, we have a fast-paced version of Sensuality by Addicted Craze, which combines Lyane's sexy vocals with a strong, full-throttle jumpstyle bass. The Club mix-radio cut of Skin2skin is a nice trancy handsup track, with Lyane's voice slightly vocoded and a catchy melody. Livin' A Lie was remixed by Scoon & Delore, the result is a stomping and a slightly hypnotical handsup track. Marc de Buur did quite a hardcore remix of Fly Away (for enthusiasts of this style, a little bit disconcerting for euro-fans), with pitched-up vocals. Then again Love2love, this time revisited by De Lorean. Afterwards, another version of Sensuality, this time Groove-T, mixing a strong handsup beat with romantic piano pauses. Let Me Feel Your Sexappeal was remixed by Cc.K. & ClubBazZ, and the result is stunning. Then Skin2Skin comes again, in a quite powerful version by BassUp!. Love Me Or Leave Me was remixed by Groove-T, the style is again bouncy and dynamic. After comes a last remix of Sensuality, this time by Kevin Stomper, a very nice jumpstyle track in every tone and string. The album ends with a previously unreleased track : the very trancy Face 2 Face.

Maracaibo is the the second-largest city in Venezuela. It was also a very famous single released by Luisa 'Lu' Colombo in 1982. Fedo M.O.R.A. aka Federico Panzanini is described as "one of the youngest and most active Italian House producers of the moment". He contributed to Pussy Dub Foundation and the Gambafreaks team. He also did remixes for many artists, including In-grid, Bob Sinclar and Ann Lee. This time, he collaborated with singer and songwriter Ricardo Phillips aka ASK, leader of the reggae band 'Amsterdam Street Knowledge'.

Harbasana On The Rocks was first released in 2007. It's a pure intrumental track, quite soft, almost ambient sometimes, featuring sax played by Sergio Gumbao (who also contributed to Eivissa Immaculada Project and Eivissa Jazz Big Band), recorded on the island of Formentera (South of Ibiza). French DJ and producer Richard "Grey" Jacquin defines his style as "French house with an American touch". This time, he covered a famous Daft Punk hit that needs no introduction. To be allowed to release the single, he had to re-record the vocals in Spain.
On the original mix, Richard Grey added a nice melody that humanizes the track. The Richard Grey subliminal mix is more minimalistic and trancy. Denis the Menace contributed to the third remix of the single, this time the tribute to the Daft Punk original is obvious. A very rich in drums Chris Moody mix closes the single.

Groove Empire is a trio from Switzerland. Their very first single is a true eurodance bomb. If you did not know it was a 2009 production, you would swear it was recorded in the 90s. The sound is brilliant, reminding of the Masterboy's best productions. Soft vocals contrast with the bouncy rhythm. And if, like me, you prefer videoclips that tell a story, especially with a positive and touching end, you'll enjoy this one for sure. Especially nowadays, when every videoclip looks like a porn rap video, it's quite a nice change...

The maxi comes with 4 excellent versions, and it's hard to chose the best between all of them, my 2 favourite being the radio edit and the energy mix. Goove Empire prove that it is still possible to release real classic eurodance in the 21st century. A must have...

For all eurodance fans, Dutch DJ Lucien Foort is firstly known for being Stanley Foort's (Heaven Is Here, Love Makes The World Go Round) cousin. His new single The Shame features Daisy on vocals. But during a carreer of remixer and producer long of more than 15 years, Lucien Foort has been releasing tracks under his own name as well as aliases such as Funk Function, Dutch Liquid and Quadrophonia.

The single, licensed by Hed Kandi under d:vision (X-energy), contains not less than 10 remixes by Warren Clarke, Baggi Bregovic, Funky Soldiers, Wez Clarke among others, in various styles ranging from funky to club house, with a little latino touch.

Disco diva Sybil Lynch is no newcomer in the musical business. Her very first single Falling In Love was released back in 1986 ! She is best known for her covers of Dionne Warwick's hits Don't Make Me Over and Walk On By.

Jenny Jones is the voice of this very interesting and uplifting funky house track that simply demands to be grooved to. Produced by Birmingham's biggest names in bassline, Macca & The Boy, the single comes with a bevy of remixes by Ali Payami, PJ, Shave, Macca and Da Boyz (this latest reminds a bit of the garage sound of the 90s). It is inspired from a song originally recorded by Jade in 1992.

My personal favourite is the Original mix, an excellent hands-up track with a very nice melody.

We all remember the covers done by Netzwerk or earlier by Thomas Anders of this song originally recorded by the Australian project Real Life back in 1983. Lovematic version contains 8 versions plus a B-side entitled Stay Free. The radio version is excellent, containing all the elements that made the song successful through ages : the beautiful lyrics and the amazing synths. The D&F mix is perfect for tecktonik dancers. The other mixes are more electro and house.

Produced by Marco Fratty (FPI Project) and Stefano Gambarelli (Gambafreaks), it features vocals by Sharon May Linn's, presented as the new X-energy diva, but whose voice should not sound unknown to eurodance fans : she used to be Blizzard vocalist. Greek producers Evan Kay and Angel Stoxx featured Mary Geras (aka Marianna Gerasimidou) on this dance cover of a song originally released by Rufus & Chaka Khan in 1983. The CD includes 7 very danceable versions, among them some remixes by famous producer and remixer Davide Riva (Whigfield).

Also known as Mod Squad, the producers scored a big record hit in 2000 with Circus. They later created the project Phatjak project.

Copenhagen Bass is a Danish duo started in 2007, consisting of DJs Michael Hornung Andersen and Anders Bøgh aka DJ Duck, faithful contributor to the Encyclopaedia's news archive. After a 2 monthes of TV casting on Jim TV and an unbearable suspense, the name of the new Lasgo vocalist was revealed to the world : Jelle van Dael (whose name, by a stroke of luck, sound so similar to Ian van Dahl), would succeed to Evy. This is the 17th album that the BBB deliver since their creation in 1984. The album contains 14 + 3 bonus tracks as well as a booklet with lyrics. Produced by the French producers (Johann Perrier and Antoine Blanc, better known as MS Project), it features for the first time the new member Carlos. An excellent album full of very nice dance tracks and a few slower tracks, combining their classic Hi-NRG sound with the most up-to-date trands. It starts with the very catchy Still In Love, the current single, which sets the tone. It ends with Russia In My Eyes (gorgeous choirs) and the only cover song Those Were The Days, but this is not really over since we have 3 excellent remixes as bonus tracks.

Fantasy Project consists of frontman and singer Andreas Steinberger, and his friend and music partner Hans Plöchl. They are no newcomers, since they already released a first album and several very good singles. They also appeared on many compilations.

Young Fire, one of the most interesting projects on today's eurodance scene, is back with their sophomore album. To my opinion as good as the previous one, maybe better.

The album contains 10 tracks ranging from eurodance to break beats, as well as two ballads. Only original songs, no covers ! It starts with their current single Hello (#1 on radio stations and charts on its first weeks release). There are many other excellent dance tracks to be mentioned, such as the very energetic It's Love, This Time and its mesmerizing synths, 7 Days 7 Nights, and the amazing A Fool In Love, my favourite. At every track, you get caught once again by the magic of the combination between vocals, beats and synths. A very good released in the whole, worth buying.

Probably one of the most awaited come back of a eurodance project. After more than 8 years of silence, Twenty 4 Seven are back. The new single Like Flames (a cover of a song originally sung by Berlin) combines the real Twenty 4 Seven seven sound (and the "na na nas" without which a Twenty 4 Seven song would not be a real one) and a hands-up strong beat.
