Ysa Ferrer

Hello Ysa!
Merci pour l'honneur…
Ysa, I want to ask you how did you start to work in this industry ?

Working in this industry was for me a child dream.
I' never imagined get another job, it was like an obviousness.

I know that you worked on a local radio station, tell me a little bit of that experience?Do you still have that virus in your blood?

I worked in a radio station when I was 15 !
It was really fun for me to do that during my free time. I enjoyed making jingles for the radio!

Your debut album called D'essences naturelles was released in ‘95. Could you tell a little bit of that album, and what genre it was ?

My first album was really a debut album like "Hello! do you want to know who I am?" At this moment of my life, I can tell you that I wasn't really sure about my influences. Since Kamikaze, I know what I want and what sort of music I want to offer. But it doesn't mean that I'm not proud of D'Essences Naturelles ! That's why I'm currently working on the reissue of it.

Do your write your own songs ?

I co-write all my songs with Daniel Castano.

French music is very loved in Eastern Europe. What do you think about that, French public are more conservative then Eastern European public !?

I'm very proud when I see my music exporting in Eastern Europe. Unfortunately, in France, I think we don't have the same openmind.

Did you think about making an album in English ?

I already sing in Englih but I noticed that people prefer when I sing in French.

Do you have a wish to sing a duo with some French singers like: Patricia Kaas, Lara Fabian or Mylène Farmer, and if you do, with whom?

They are all great French artists but if I have the occasion to make a duet with someone, I'll choose Christophe Willem.

To whom is your music addressed (in France your music is very loved by gay community) ?

My music is not made especially for gay people but for everyone who wants to have fun.

One of my favourite videos and songs is Last Zoom (also the must played song on ClubFG). What can you tell me about this single ?

Last Zoom is about a last chance or the end of a relationship. I wanted a very esthetic music video. It is also the first French song which was remixed by Dave Audé.

Funny stories happened behind during that shooting of Last Zoom … ?

For this music video, I chose characters with special apparences and this made the funny part of the shooting.

What was the funniest gift or stories got from your fans ?

During my concert at La Nouvelle Eve (Paris), when I was singing Capsule Hotel (a song about Japan), all my fans gave me Hello Kitty fluffy.

Tell me a little bit of Imaginaire pur Reloaded. It’s a re launch of your album from 2008?

Yes. It's a reload of the original album with a second disc including remixes and also my new single Last Zoom.

What is your favorite song from this album ?

My favourite song is My Lovarium Never Ends.

Do you consider yourself a role model ?

Absolutely not!

Do you have a motto that you follow ?

Sky is my limit.

How you pass over failures ?

I have very good friends. Lucky me!

What do you love to do in your free time ?

I like spending time with my friends, watching movies and shopping.

What is your future plans ?

I'm working on my fourth album and preparing my future tour.

A message for our readers and for your many fans !!!

Make your dreams come true.

Merci Ysa

Ysa Ferrer
