Alexia

Alexia you participated at Sanremo and you won 2nd place with Dimmi Come... did that award change your life ?

Of course it did! Sanremo Festival is a very important musical event in our country. Before Sanremo I was popular only among young people, and I was considered just a pretty girl with easy and commercial music. After that tv performance, italian people had to admit that I was a good artist:

You released so many and great hits in 90 and the press named you the "Queen of Eurodance". My question : why did you stop doing dance music ?

I stopped, because I understood that it was the right moment to leave. The scene was becoming different, and the future was less interesting... Singing in Italian gave me news views and contacts with the star system.

You have an amazing voice and you demonstrate through your music that you are a complete artist.
How do you train and preserve your superb voice? Do you have any tricks? Things to avoid?

First of all: I don't smoke, I don't drink any kind of alcoholic and I don't use drugs... Then I improve my voice daily with some exercises, but I like to sing songs of other artists when I'm at home...

What do you think about real-TV like X Factor, American Idol and Popstars? Would you consider becoming a X-Factor teacher or a member of some Popstars or X-factor jury?

I think that being part of a talent as a teacher or a jury is a great responsability. I don't think to have the will to do something like that....

I know you were involved in many eurodance projects : Cybernetica, Fourteen 14, Double you, Ice MC ... which one was your favorite ?

Ice MC!!!

Rumors are saying that you’re collaborating with Ice MC. Is it true?

No, I've just met him in a club in Finland last spring, and we were so happy to see each other!!! We talked about our family, we are both parents now!!!

How is doing your little treasure Maria Vittoria ?

She's fine, she's my great treasure!

Ale, what do you think of music industry this days ?

I think we are living a very difficult moment. And this is not only for the difficulties of selling records. There's so many producers and so many artists very similar, the ideas are so poor and the voices with no personality...

The most funniest story was in Acapulco when you met the Spice Girls. What can you tell about that story ?

I remember I was singing on stage Uh la la la and I saw in the backstage Gerry and maybe Baby Spice looking at my performance. When I've leaved the stage, they asked me if I was singing live: I answered : of course!!!... They were surprised "Oh my God" they said!

Ale, last year you release an album with collaborations Ale & Co, and one track kept my attention : Mio Padre with Annamaria Aquilani, your sister, how was working with her ?

It was a very special moment... sharing the studio session with someone from my family it has been very strange for me... I remember she was nervous and she needed my help as never in her life... I took her hand, I gave her some precious advices and She sang great!

I see that you have a new material. What is the story of Stars, what genre is this album and when will be released in Europe ?

Is an album with different style of music, all the styles that I love, R&B, soul, dance, ballads and rock... It's a project where I try to tell what I think about the TV system and how is manipulating young people!

With whom you like to do a duet ?

I like very much John Legend, Mary J Blidge, Kelis!.

What do you think about radios & TV stations which promote only music from top 40 ?

I think it's not fair.... That's why many people don't listen to the radio like they used to...

What are your future plans (any dance tracks in the near future)?

I still like dance music, and I would like to produce some in the future... at the moment I'm still in tour and I'm working on my next project!

A message for your fans...

Dear fans, it's always a pleasure for me to share my opinions and my future projects with you! I wish you all the best, and remember, when you feel down, wear your headphone and turn on the volume!!! Music has the power to make you feel better!!!
