Take My Body (1995)

Label : DDM. The project featured a Italian female vocalist called Francesca Touré (who is NOT the model shown on the cover) and a New-yorker ragga-rapper called Rodney Harris. Francesca was born in Milano (Italy) on February 8th 1972, from an Italian mother and a Guinean father. She grew up in a musical family, and that's how she started playing the guitar at the early age of 8. After she ended school, she entered the Modern Music Academy of Milano to attend Marilyn Turner's singing class. In the early 90s she created her own band and toured in Italian clubs. She also worked as background singer and songwriter, and recorded commercials.

Rodney contributed to other Italian project, for instance he was featured on a few Alexia singles.

The single Take My Body was written by Zullo and del Barbara, produced by Riccardo Sada, published under Cussy Music Publishing & Edizioni Ishtar, licensed in France under Polygram/Panic Records. It reached the top 10 dance sales chart in France, Spain and was used as theme songs for few Brazilian television programs.

3 remixes done by David Ward aka 3D appeared on compilation Australia vs Italia under project name Kimono in 1996.

In 1995 Francesca gained national visibility thanks to a collaboration with former 883 member Mauro Repetto who wanted her for his new album. 1997 was her spending some time in NY and upon her return she wrote La Mia Anima, a song for Italian pop star Mietta published by WEA. She then started a collaboration with Delta V. She keeps on writing and singing for many projects and contributing to musical, nothing eurodance unfortunately.

In 1998, Rodney contributed to the Italian project Funky Connection (Funky Idea, Balla).

Kabah was formed in 1992 by Federica Tapia and her brother André. Their cousin Sergio was next to be added to the group, and later their neighbor and friend Maria José. At the time there were many pop groups in Mexico with four members, so Frederica and André decided to add longtime friends René and Daniela, bringing the total to six.

Shortly after, they recorded a cover for the group The Party called Encontré El Amor (I Found Love). Shortly after the release of Encontré El Amor, the group recorded another song, Somos Tan Differentes (We are so different) at Gil Brothers studios, forming a two songs demo tape

Eager to show their talent, they were given the chance to sing their two songs at a popular club. However, they were ill-received by the audience and ultimately booed off the stage. Their second show came at the end of 1993 at a kindergarten where Federica worked as a teacher's assistant. For this show, they remade their two songs, giving them a more child-friendly feel. Ironically, this event would end up marking their careers, as they realized they could find greater favor among younger audiences.
Despite their hopes however, they were initially turned down by several producers, such as Cha, Claudio Yarte and Aleks Syntek. It was not until Federica accidentally came across the phone number for Televisa that they found success. After calling Luis de Llano, the only music producer of the network, they were asked to come in for a meeting.

Luis told them about a singing talent show called "Valores Juveniles", and suggested they spend a few months practicing for it. They then signed a contract for one album with Polygram Music, and soon after their first album, Kabah, was finished. They then went on to win the talent show with their first song, Encontré El Amor. The album, which was officially released in 1994, included four songs written by the group, and was a success among the younger population.

Polygram Music decided to sign them and gave them a contract to make two more albums. They started recording in Los Angeles a second album titled La Calle De Las Sirenas (The Street Of The Mermaids). It was released in 1996 and opened many doors for the group, carrying them to international fame.

1998's Esperanto followed, selling a record of 100,000 copies in the first week. It featured the singles Mai, Mai, Una Ilusión, and Esperanto. The next follow-up, XNE, led the group to a more conceptualized image and somewhat darker sound. It also contained the theme song for the Mexican soap opera "Amigas y Rivales".

In 2002, they returned to a lighter sound with La Vida Que Va, which was recorded in Norway under the Warner Music label and produced by Ole Evenrude. La Vuelta al Mundo, was released in 2003. What would be the band's final album, El Pop, was released in 2005. El Pop featured acoustic versions of a few of their greatest-hits, as well as two new songs. A farewell tour took them all across North America, concluding with a final show on December 31, 2005 on the bay of Acapulco, Mexico.

Singles such as Open Your Eyes and Hurricane were fast eurobeat tracks. From 1994, her style changed to eurodance and her singles were released under Volume records.

She also did vocals (without being officially credited) on Zowie - I'm In Love ‎and probably also on 3 songs released on compilation under project name Amanda Hurley. She co-wrote Kelly Wright song Don't Play With Me and was probably the voice for all the project's songs. She may aslo have sung the lyrics of Wain L - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

Lady Blue (2002)

Singer and songwriter Karin Tononi was born in June 1975 in Bolzano (Northern Italy) where she grew up in a musical family. During the 70s and the 80s, her dad used to sing, play the organ and the guitar in the band Navajos Junior which was made up by his brothers. He taught her how to play drums. She was spotted in a students festival as she was playing the drums, and became sound engineer assistant and production secretary. She started recording her first demos and to arrange the first shows featuring her as a singer all over Italy.

Her first solo single was Christmas Gift, a welfare cover of Mimosa It's So Cool with new lyrics, released under Union records Gold in 1995, in collaboration with Sesto Senso Club. Proceeds from the sales were donated to La Tua Voce Contro La Violenza. Then came another eurodance single, My Paradise in 1996. The same year, she performed on stage of Festivalbar. In 1997 she released Prendimi Con Te. Next year came Color Your Life (released under her first name only). In 2000 came the single Rag Doll, along with a videoclip. 2 years later, she released Lady Blue.

She nowadays lives in Milan.

Kasandra was born Davorka Ručević in 1967 in Zagreb, Croatia. She is a well known figure in the Croatian Eurodance scene, from her unique, powerful voice, her gorgeous looks and some of the most memorable hits of the 90s Croatian dance scene, helping dance music find its footing in a time heavily influenced by the old styles of music in a newly formed Croatia. Davorka's career began during the 80s as the lead singer of a rock band called Kasandra. The band never debuted and split sometime after but Davorka Ručević herself continued as a soloist, adopting the name Kasandra for her solo career.

In the late 80s, Kasandra signed a recording contract with Jugoton, the most popular record label in Yugoslavia, and released her debut single, Tamno Zrno Nevjere, in 1989, followed by her second, Može Se Srušiti Svijet, in 1990. In 1992, Kasandra worked with the HRT Orfej label on her debut album, Sunce Izlazi, spawning the songs Mali Princ and Sunce Izlazi as main singles as Bijele Noci, Budi Sa Mnom and Ne Preblizu as promotional singles. Unlike her later work, her earlier work were more of a pop style than dance music.

In 1993, Kasandra released Nisi Ti Jedini Na Svijetu under Croatia Records (formerly Jugoton), her first eurodance single. The song became her first big hit and launched her career as a dance artist. In 1994, Kasandra followed up the song with the singles Bit Ćeš Moj, Kazna and Bilo Bi Dobro, making her a household name in the Croatian dance scene. In 1995, Kasandra's success continued with her next single, I've Got A Feelin' featuring Goran from Roxy in the music video as the vampire. The video was considered as the most expensive of Croatia's music history. A 5 track EP containing her singles called Kazna was released under the label Alkaton before releasing her debut album, Sladoled, under Croatian Records, featuring all five singles and three new songs. Kasandra later released the single Prevarena the same year along with Masno-Slasno featuring Gobac from the Sladoled album as a single in 1996.

Kasandra released the singles Daj Da Poludim in 1997 and Oslobodi Me in 1998. Sometime around 1998, Kasandra ended her contract with Croatia Records after the company made her perform a winter show in a sexualized outfit with a mini skirt and boots, causing her to catch a cold. She has also been dissatisfied with her dance music career due to her image and also felt she wanted to do other genres, such as jazz.

Davorka Rucevic retired from music after 1998 and began living a private life, with her latest public appearance being for her manager's birthday party in 2007. Despite various rumors about her health or mental status due to her secretive life, Davorka's mother has confirmed, even recently, that she is doing fine and living her life privately these days.

Kasandra's songs are still well known in Croatia today and are often covered by fellow 90s Croatian dance stars.

2021 : she died in December from a long disease. In spite of severe endometriosis which even prevented her from walking, she was working on a new album with pop manager Zoran Škugor.

Kate Project is a group created by Mauro Farina and G. Crivellente, produced by SAIFAM Publishing Group. The majority of the songs released by Kate Project are covers of pop hits. Usually the recordings and mixing were done at Factory Sound Studios in Verona.

According to her official biography published by SAIFAM, Kate has always sung. She was working in a club as vocalist, singing over tracks and using her voice as an instrument "to keep things hot on the dancefloor". Lots of people came there, including various producers and some of them were favourably impressed by her ability to sing different styles. They therefore introduced her to Mauro Farina.

She was described as a brown-eyed girl who loved the sea, but also travelling and reading, and collection Coca Cola's gadgets. Her favourite sports was mountain-bike. Her favourite colour was black. She enjoyed eating pizza and drinking Coca Cola, and owned a dog. Her favourite music was dance-house. More likely, many vocalists took part to the project. Among them, there could be Jenny, whose voice can be also heard on Plastika Love And Heart and Masquerade's Square Room.

It started with the very nice eurodance track You Can, originally written by M. Kane, probably using the voice of Jenny. The B-side was entitled The Beat That Makes You Move, in 2 versions.

1995 : No More I Love You's was a cover of a song at first released by Annie Lennox. It was followed by Wuthering Heights, a cover of a Kate Bush song (named after Emily Brontë's famous book). This single was arranged and produced by Bresciani and Bragante. It included a B-side called Kate's. The follow-up Time After Time is a cover of Cindy Lauper's song. It was arranged and produced by the same team as before, plus Mauro Farina for FCF productions. There was a B-side included, entitled Groovin Mr Time.

The follow-up Ecstasy Of Light was, for once, an original song composed by M. Farina and G. Crivellente. It was produced by Produced by Farina, Crivellente and Fadinger, with the help of F. Serra and Johnny Mix. It also included a track called Ecstasy Of Flight.

In 1996 the single Heart And Soul was released. It was produced and composed by Farina-Crivellente with the collaboration of F. Turatti. It was mixed at Mela studios (Verona). The vinyl included 3 mixes.

I Don't Wanna Believe was produced by M.Bassi, G. Malaman, and Alex T. Malavasi, with additional production by M. Farina and Factory Team. Many people seem to have taken part to the realization of this records : Mr.Fabio De Magistris, Ale & Kekko, Gianluca Feat. Yasmina, Glamour Factory, Sly, F.Mas, Ottomix, Erik & Susy...

If You Can Say Goodbye was out in 1998. It was written and composed by A. Bindella, F. Serra, M. Farina and G. Crivellente. It included the track You Can as B-side. It was followed by A Better World in 1999, which is maybe one of the most well-know Kate Project tracks, and the only one to be released as CD-maxi (including 5 version plus I Don't Wanna Believe). It was written by M. Farina, R. Turatti, G. Zandona and S. Melloni.

Baby You Can Help Me was released in 2000 under the label 21st Century Records. It was written and composed by M. Farina, G. Crivellente, Fabio Serra and S. Farina. It was produced by Mauro Farina and Factory Team, mixed at Factory Sound Studios in Verona, mastered by Compotech.

One Small Day was duo with Ken Laszlo. It also contained Bandido's track All Night Long (maybe a cover of a song by Ultravox) as B-side.

2009 : 2 new tracks were released digitally : Who's That Girl and Hot'n'Cold.

Kate Ryan was born Katrien Verbeeck on the 22nd July 1980 in a small village named Tessenderlo in Belgium to Dutch parents. Kate developed interests such as horse-riding and water-skiing, which she both practises at quite a good level up to this very day. As virtually her whole family played either the guitar or the piano, gifted Kate developed an equally large soft spot for both instruments. In art school, Kate impassioned her teachers with her intangible feel for drawing and painting.

As her parents owned their own café and pub concerts are quite popular in Flanders, the region around her home town Meerhout got to know Kate's talent quite well. Armed with only a guitar and a considerable load of guts, Kate hit the stage and performed songs by Alanis Morissette, 4 Non-Blondes, Pointer Sisters or Aretha Franklin. Also, she toured as a backing vocalist with the Soapband, a renowned bunch of the country's foremost television actors. In studio, Kate honed her skills recording an album, which she partially co-wrote, with the local pop group Melt.

Then came 2001. Her big break came when one of her own creations, composed with the help of Andy Janssens, was picked up by the big boys. Scream For More, Kate's debut single, was produced by Phil Wilde, once the producer behind 2 Unlimited, Def Dames Dope and CB Milton. The Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Germany, South Africa, the UK and the States were the first in line to welcome the new star on the airwaves. In Belgium, Scream For More was a huge summer floorbuster (17 weeks charts) and gathered nominations for a Radio Donna Award and, as best single of the year, for an award of Belgium's biggest music television TMF. I did well in Europe to, peaking #27 in Germany, #15 in Austria, #12 in Denmark, and #57 in the Netherlands.

On October 8th, 2001 the second single UR My Love was released. This second hit saw Kate adding Finland, Israel, Mexico and several parts of South-America to her list. The video was released mid December, when she also performed several shows in Chicago ! It topped #17 in Belgium.

In 2002 Kate decided to have her way in French. Mylène Farmer's classic Désenchantée was converted into a dance version and the result exceeded all expectations, quickly reaching #1 in Belgium, and settling there for 6 weeks on end. It also landed the Dutch top 5, #2 in Germany and in Spain, #12 in France, Portugal and Denmark, #11 in Switzerland, #3 in Austria, #4 in Sweden and the Netherlands.

In June 2002 Kate’s debut album Different was released, including 12 tracks and 3 French bonustracks. This album combined rock, pop, dance and ballads. Kate co-wrote all tracks on the album. The release of the album in the USA was scheduled for July 23rd. There will also be a special double A-sided single, containing both UR (My love) and Désenchantée. The latter song is currently also set for the long-awaited release in France (July 2nd) and the UK (date to be confirmed), where it will hit stores on the prestigious Positiva label...

2003 : Kate Ryan released another Mylène Farmer cover : Libertine. It went #7 in Belgium, #7 in Germany, #6 in Spain, #48 in France, #26 in Switzerlan, #7 in Austria, #16 in Sweden, #15 in Denmark, #20 in Finland and #8 in Poland.

Then she re-released Scream For More in UK in July and its French equivalent Mon Coeur Résiste Encore in Germany in Autumn. The new album is ready and was at first planned be released in March 2004.

2004 : Kate Ryan released her new single called Only If I . It entered the Austrian charts at #25 at the end of March, peaked #21 on the Danish dancechart, and was massively played on the German TV channels. The follow-up single was entitled La Promesse (French version of The Promise You Made). Kate played her new single live on TV at Club Rotation (Viva, Germany) and Top Of The Pops (RTL, Germany) in July. It peaked #8 in Belgium, #10 in Poland and #21 in Austria.

2005 : Only If I was released on CD single in the USA. It contained the following mixes: Radio Edit, Extended Mix, Hiver & Hammer Remix Edit, Hiver & Hammer Remix, Alex Megane Remix, Alex Megane Extended and Peter Luts Remix.

2006 : Kate Ryan won the preselections for Eurovision 2006 for Belgium. Her song, called Je t'adore, was a mix of French and English, it was released as single in February. Kate presented their song on the 18th of May at the contest, but was not selected for the final. Anyway, she went #1 in Belgium and Poland.

While Je t'adore had already gained golden status, Kate Ryan's next single was entitled Alive, released in August. The new album was out in September, in collaboration with Swedish producers Niclas Kings and Niklas Bergwal. Meanwhile.

In October, Kate was nominated twice for the TMF Awards, but she did not win. During the show, she performed a medly of her 2 latest singles. Kate Ryan's song Alive was used as theme for the Spanish real-TV show Gran Hermano 8 (the Spanish equivalent of Big Brother).

Kate's new single was entitled All For You, planned for release in mid-November. Success was moderate, the single reached #37 in Belgium and only #65 in Spain.

2007 : Alive was released in Germany on 12th January 2007. It went #4 in Belgium and #8 in Finland. The album was available there on 9th February 2007

Kate Ryan wrote a track for the Eurogames together with the same Swedish team with whom she had written Je T'adore. The track We All Belong was presented at the end of May in D-Club in Antwerp and got an enthousiastic welcome. The song will be on her future new single, and will be played from June 15th in Belgium and later this year in the rest of Europe.

Kate Ryan left EMI for ARS Entertainment, the label of Milk Inc. Voyage2, a cover of the Desireless hit Voyage Voyage, was Kate's first single released by her new record company. Released on Friday 6th July, it peaked #2 in Belgium, #3 in Poland and #7 in Spain.

Kate Ryan performed a concert on the 6th October 2007 in the Lotto Arena of Antwerpen (Belgium), during which she presented her new single LILY (Like I Love You), which should be released in November. She was nominated at the TMF Awards for best videoclip, best female artist, and best pop artist but did not win.

2008 : the follow-up single is a cover of France Gall's hit Ella Elle L'a. Her new album was ready in April, it was released Europe-wide on May 19th.

September : Kate Ryan's new single was called I Surrender.

2009 : Kate's new single was called Your Eyes, out in May. It was very shortly followed by Babacar (another France Gall cover), out on 15th of June. She did a summer tour across Europe. In October she released another France Gall cover, the ballad Evidemment, from her album French Connection (a collection of all her cover songs in French).

2010 : Kate did a tour in Canada to promote her album French Connection.

2011 : Kate's new single Lovelife (from forthcoming album Electroshock) premiered last friday on radio MNM. Apprivoiser Nos Désirs (23rd Dec 2016)

Katrine's real name is Catherine Quinol. She was born in Paris, of Guadelope descent. Singer, gogo dancer and model in Italy as she was 18, she was noticed by Spagna's guitarist at a club and introduced to the producers team. This is how she becam a member of Black Box project and of many other productions of the Groove Groove Melody team.

At first she thought she would enter the studio to record the songs, but then found out that everything was already recorded... She became the stage performer for the project's hits such as Ride On Time but the real voice was a sample from a Loleatta Holloway song. At first she did not mind lipsyncing : "It was a job like any other, I wasn't expecting anything special" she explains 20 years later, but when everything started to get real big she felt trapped. She says : "It was a lot of fun, but of course, I would have loved to record the songs."

In 1995, she was featured by Back In A Box on single Feel You.

Later, she was replaced by the vocalist Char Voni as frontwoman and singer.

Among other activities, Katrine is still working for Black Box nowadays. In 2003, she was on French TV station M6 to sing Ride On Time. She did a live appearance at the famous Parisian disco The Queen (Paris) on the 21st March 2004. And she tours with the project, taking part to 90s festivals

2016 : she released her first solo single, a French house song entitled Apprivoiser Nos Désirs, on a melody composed by Fabien Scarlakens

Jürgen "Nosie" Katzmann is one of the most well-known dance writer and producers. With Torsten Fenslau and Jens Zimmermann he created the Editions Get Into Magic in 1990. The dance acts for which he wrote lyrics are countless : Culture Beat, Loft, Jam & Spoon, Nina, Captain Hollywood Project, Le Click, Ice MC, Flame... But Nosie is also a singer. For instance, on Nina's album Dare! Katzmann himself is doing backing-vocals on 2 of the tracks. On the song Love You Up he does the voice at the beginning of the song.

At the end of of 1996, he was physically and emotionally exhausted, and it was time for a break. He however kept on working as a producer for very different acts such as GIL, Tobsucht, Judy White, Ronny Und Die Bauarbeiter. Far from dance music, he did vocals for alternative underground tracks such as Phonekiller's Bite. Occasionally he kept on writing and composing for his friends' projects : Blue Lagoon (2 songs on their album Club Lagoon, and more recently one song on their album Sentimental Fools), DJ Bobo, Yamboo (among them the track Star), Sarah Connor (he co-wrote 2 songs of her debut album Blue Eyed Soul with Anne Aalrust and Bülent Aris), Jam & Spoon (once again a collaboration with Anne Aalrust, on the single Be Angeled), Yvonne Catterfeld (the song Diebe der Liebe), Cascada, Novaspace (the song Come Out Of Your Darkness, on the Cubes album).

With Anne Aalrust, Casketnail, Bionic Ghost Kids, Ronny & Die Bauarbeiter, he had founded Gim Records.

2008 : Nosie Katzmann released his first Greatest Hits solo album : Songbook 1.

2009 : Nosie Katzmann performed during DJ Bobo & Friends concerts his acoustic songs from Songbook 1. He produced Right Said Fred's last single Sexy Bum.

Satisfaction Guaranteed (1994)

Johnny Kelvin (real name : Johnny Kelvin Jean-Baptiste) was born on Aruba in 1968. His father, Lloyd Jean-Baptiste, was a famous singer in the Caribbean. He was the first black artist to perform in the Amsterdam Lido.

As he was only 11, he and his grandmother moved to the Netherlands. There he started a career as a dancer. He only discovered his vocal skill when, during one of his gigs, the music suddenly stopped. He took the mic and started singing a capella. This is how his vocalist career started.

Johnny Kelvin's first single Satisfaction Guaranteed was released under ZYX in Germany and under Got It Records in Italy. It included a Short Tune Version, a 4 Tune Version, a Smooth Mix 12", a Killer Mix 12" and a Club Mix. A remixes CD was also released, with mixes by Lorenzo Carpella , Max Persona or Digidance. Another track released under the same name was out in 1996, under the label Arcade. Maybe it's a different project...

This young man with the silky smooth voice was also one of the guest artists of T-spoon's Joy, Life & Pain album. You could hear him on See The Light. Although his roots lied in ballads and soul music, he was fairly partial to dance musicas you can see and hear. He also did backing vocals for CB Milton's If You Leave Me Now which also featured the vocals of Ingrid Simons. In 1996, he appeared on 2 Fabiola's single My Attitude under the name Johnny Calvin.

In 2001, Johnny went back the the Netherlands. His voice was featured on DJ Jean's single Love Come Home, which topped the charts. This track belongs to the hard house movement. It was written by Rob Dougan, Rollo Armstrong & J.Dark, produced by Klubbheads & DJ Jean.

Shortly after, he released the singles Dance 4 Me Baby (#10 in the national charts) and Alive & Kicking (#20)

During the Summer 2002, he appeared as MC for DJ Tiesto during the Berlin Love Parade. The following year, 375 000 party people went nuts to his MC version of Dance 4 Me Baby. In December 2003, he started his DJ career.

Johnny Kelvin keeps on recording new tracks, such as Shine The Light which was produced by Lucien Foort (Stanley Foort's cousin) in 2004.

2005 : Johnny often performs sets as DJ. He appeared a the Matiz Beach Concert in Bloemendaal in July.

Records company : SAIFAM Publishing Group. The project's official biography describes Kikka as a black-eyed artist who had always been fascinated by music. She started playing the piano at the age of six, but then, after a few years she discovered that singing was her true passion, so she started to sing in several clubs and discos. In order to improve her natural talent, she went to the US in 1992, where she studied with some of the big American artists and singers and in the workshops of some of the most famous schools. While she was in the States, she sung in many clubs in New York and Los Angeles. She has signed a contract with SAIFAM Publishing group and in the meantime she works as a model for many fashion agencies and for some TV networks. Music is not the only passion she has : she studied modern dance and she loves animals (especially cats), travelling, collecting T-shirts, and sports (especially tennis). Her favourite colour is black. She enjoys eating pizza and drinking Coca Cola. She likes dance music.

The project was actually fronted by many female vocalists over the years. It started in 1993, with Sweet Dreams and Little Bird, covers of songs of the Eurythmics and Annie Lennox.

The next year came I Say No More (with vocals really sounding like Martine), Japanese Boy (a cover of a song by Aneka) and Singing In The Rain.

In 1995 Kikka released the beautiful eurodance tracks Love Me Tonite and Wanna Oh Wanna Oh. Then came a dance cover to Cher's Walking In Memphis. The follow-ups were Don't Make Me Live Without You and How Do I Live (a song originally sung by LeAnn Rimes).

1997 The single Don't Take My Heartbeat, with its very groovy synthlines and catchy melody, was very well positioned in all Hi-NRG charts around the world. It was a great success in Israel where it reached # 18

2006 : Javi Crecente released a cover of Don't Make Me Live Without You.

Jackie (1998)
Golden Dreams (1998)
Don't You Want Me Babe (1998)
I Just Can't Get Enough (1999)
Beat It (2000)

Killer Shadows was an 80's cover project from SAIFAM Publishing Group. Many vocalists took part on it. Almost all the songs were covers from very known artists, like the famous A-ha's The Sun Always Shines on T.V., released in 1995 and produced by Factory Team. This cover was a powerful eurodance track, specially The Factory Dance Mix, that was full of synths and strong base. The label was Lethal Records (Spain), a Contraseña Records sublabel.

Other great cover (released in 1998) was Jackie, performed originally in 1987 by Elisa Fiorillo (and in 1988 by Blue Zone) and penned by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly. Golden Dreams was released in the same year (1998), this song was originally performed by Invisible Limits (penned by KUCHENMEISTER, a Invisible Limits member); I Just Can't Get Enough (penned by Vince Clark and performed originally by Depeche Mode as Just Can’t Get Enough) was released in 1999; Don't You Want Me Babe (The Human League's Don't You Want Me cover) was released in 1999 too. The famous Michael Jackson’s Beat It was covered by Killer Shadows in 2000.

Other song, only released on compilation in 2006 (Let's Hear It For The 80's - Vol. 4), was Human, originally performed by The Human League (composed by Harris and Lewis). The version is The Dance Mix, but is not a eurodance tune.

2007 : Kim announced that she would be candidate for Belgian elections, as a member of political party Lijst Dedecker. But she had to withdraw for health reasons.

2018 : in an interview, she explained that, because of medical malpractice , she had to stay in bed during many years, and that she still can't walk. Anyway, she would love to do a comeback and perform again...

German vocalist Yasmin was born Yasmin Knoch (sometimes misspelled Yasmin Knock), 27th September 1986 in Soufrière (Saint Lucia). She is the daughter of Oliver Bendt, founder of Goombay Dance Band. Her mother is from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Yasmin grew up in Hamburg. After completing her abitur, she took lessons in singing, piano, and guitar. She began performing in shows with her father's band. In the year 2000, she played a major role in the musical Buddy.

In 2001 she competed to the second season of Popstars. She did not make it into the finals and was eliminated from the show. This is how Alex Christensen, who was a judge on Popstars that year, began collaborating with her, under the name Yasmin K or Yasmin Knock. In the summer of 2002 they released the single Rhythm of the Night, a cover version Corona's hit. In 2003, they released Angel of Darkness, as a promotion single for Eidos Interactive for the video game Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness.

After a 4-year break, she reappeared under a shortened scene name Y-ass, featured on Alex C's song Du hast den schönsten Arsch der Welt (and its English version You Have Got Sweetest Ass in The World). Success was massive, and it was followed by several singles and an album around the sexual theme.

2010 : a second Alex C feat. Y-ass was planned. Entitled Tabu, it was never released. Yasmin became one of the members of band Max&Friends.

2011 : she released a double single as Whykay feat. Yasmin K. Hate Me Curse Me / Love Is A Stranger under independtant label Whykay Music.

2012 : Yasmin was featured in Fraktus' single ASL 2.0.

The music was composed by Antonio Nunzio Catania and Ingo Kays, it was produced by Ingo Kays. The concept was imaginated by Gianna Possehi. It was published by Edition Scales/ BMG UFA Edition Tres Eqis/ EMI Music Publishing.

Ernest Kohl, recording artist and multi-talented performer, has become a celebrated force within the music industry with an impressive body of international hits. With 17 consecutive "Top Ten" smash singles, six of which soared to the Number One position in Dance Music Authority (DMA), Billboard, Street Sound and Dance Music Report's (DMR) Top Fifty charts, and Dance Radio charts, it's no wonder Kohl received DMA's "Best Male Vocalist" Award in 1990. In 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996 he received nominations for "Song of The Year," "Best Producer/Arranger" and "Best Live Performer" as well as "Best Male Vocalist." In just a few short years, Ernest has also established himself as an accomplished producer, musical arranger, writer, choreographer and chairman of his own independent production company.

His crowd-thrilling performances have made his concerts a favorite in major venues throughout the world. Ernest's boundless energy has earned him the reputation of being one of the hardest working and most exciting live performers in the recording industry today. New York City Music Critic Zecca recently praised Kohl for "showing us all why he won the "Best Male Vocalist" Award. "His extraordinary voice, looks, and performance coupled with complex choreography left the others in the 'dust.' "

Ernest has been singing, dancing and acting professionally since childhood. His formal training began at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. A protégé of famed vocal teacher Katie Agresta, Ernest credits her for helping him develop his vocal talents. He has studied dance with the American Ballet Theater and the respected choreographers Chuck Kelly and Drew Packolyk. Kohl's interest in contemporary dance then led him to a successful collaboration with choreographer A.C. Ciulla (choreographer of Broadway's dance music sensation "Footloose" and a former member of the Grammy-nominated C&C Music Factory).

This creative alliance has produced a new, even more energetic dimension to Kohl's live "The Explosive Tour", "The Tornado Tour" and his production "The Importance Tour/Tour De Importance", and his last production "The Make You Weak Tour" as well as his video performances. Ernest now even delves deeper into his passion for contemporary dance, teaming with some of New York City's hottest new choreographers, launching into Ernest's newest Concert and Media endeavor "The Ernest Kohl "HITS!" Tour"/"Ernest Kohl Live"

In addition to his recorded catalog, Ernest has six highly-rated chart busters in distribution: "Don't You Want My Love?/Stomp, Follow Your Heart, Our Love Is Here To Stay and Sooner or Later (the original version). Ernest also released Sooner or Later '96 , a brand new production of his previous smash hit which enjoyed renewed popularity on radio and club play and the video smash Don't Let Me Down Again on ZYX Records, which was also a featured song on the multi-million selling compilation US Dance Party!.

Ernest's recent video hit was the world-wide smash Only You which received audience raves, as well as critical praise. His production, arranging and writing talents have contributed to the worldwide successes of such artists as: Phoebe Snow, Cappella, Jeanie Tracy, Linda Imperial, Vicki Shepard, and most recently, Ms Pepper MaShay.

The acting credits of Ernest Kohl are as varied as the vehicles in which he's appeared. His stage work has included roles in musicals such as "Cabaret," "Carousel", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat," and "The Rocky Horror Show." His film debut as a pimp in Euro-London Film's "Night People" is a stark contrast to his portrayal of Anthony Brent, a radical college student in Warner Bro's.' "The World According to Garp."

Ernest has enjoyed a successful modeling career that has landed him in the pages of GQ, Vogue and Newsweek. He worked with consummate photographer Jack Pedota ("Batman Returns"), Kohl is featured as the Smalto Man in Smalto Cologne's "You Make Me Weak" advertising campaign.

Ernest's full-length studio album/CD The Importance of Being produced the import hit singles This is the Moment and Moment to Moment (Overture to Ernest), Live It Up and the smash single and video hit Only You.

The Importance of Being album/CD was produced by Ernest Kohl along with legendary producers Tom Moulton (Grace Jones, The Trammps, Gloria Gaynor,) Steve Skinner (arranger of Bette Midler's Grammy Award-winning From A Distance, producer/arranger of "To Deserve You," and co-producer/musical arranger of the Pulitzer Prize-winning, Grammy-nominated musical and original cast recording "Rent" which won four Tony Awards, including "Best Musical"), Eric Beall (Martha Wash), David Freiberg (Jefferson Starship). In addition to the album "The Importance of Being," Mr. Kohl has also released the first two of a series in his anthology collections entitled "The Portrait of Ernest Kohl - Vol. I. and Vol. 2"

Ernest's recent number one release entitled, You Make Me Weak (The Remixes) is available on Wide Angle/EMG Records. The original version of You Make Me Weak appears on The Importance of Being. This new release is a CD maxi-single with a dazzling array of turbo charged remixes that are destined to make this a major crossover hit for radio and clubs. Also featured on this new maxi-single is a special new holiday song Happy New Year! with a special guest cameo appearance by diva du jour, Ms. Pepper MaShay. Happy New Year! was also featured on the special benefit album/CD Carols Across America , a CD benefiting AIDS and Women's Breast Cancer. Mr. Kohl is proud and honored to be a part of this great project.

Ernest Kohl's number one smash release entitled All I Know , a cover of the Jimmy Webb evergreen, originally recorded by Art Garfunkel in 1973. Ernest's new update took him on a quest to England to get the "NEW" sound he wanted to create. This is a sizzling hot new update of the song, pioneering the genre of progressive crossover dance. His new All I Know features an array of intense and slamming mixes by Mike Coppock and Tony Spalding, Julian Marsh, Stephen l. Freeman and Robert Oleysyck. The reviews were nothing short of sensational. It topped many prime DJ's charts and record pool charts, two weeks before its retail release. It was also a featured track on KLONE Records Mad About The Boy #12 compilation in the UK.

Now Ernest has introduced a new take on one of his previous hits, Only You this time completely updating it in to a scorching progressive trance/pop crossover track entitled Only You 2005 (available on CD maxi-single and vinyl) which also features an enticing video.

Ernest Kohl's successful album/CD HITS! , released early 2005, was a brand new collection of his smash hits from his catalogue over the past three decades. This was a special collection celebrating his 20th year in the music industry, in which each year he has scored a Top Ten record every year somewhere on the globe since 1985. The new album/CD also contained some special new remixes of his classic hits! .

Ernest was successful in the performance of his 2005/2006 World Wide "The Ernest Kohl "HITS!" Tour","ERNEST KOHL LIVE", playing to sell-out crowds and receiving rave reviews along with dividing his time doing press and media promotion for the new single and his new album/CD.

Ernest Kohl's "HITS!" also has the great honor of winning Best Greatest Hits Album for 2005 and the single Only You 2005 won "Best Remake Of The Year" as well. Following the huge success of his still charting initial single Live Like You Were Dying Ernest now presents his fans with the single most requested remake of his career, To Save the Love (remixes) from his new 2008 full length special edition 2 CD Greatest Hits collection entitled Essential released on Dance Street/ZYX/BMG/EMG which also features his brand new single Say Adieu with 12 slammin’ remixes. Essential hit the coveted #1 position in January of 2009 and Say Adieu hit #1 In February of 2009 as well, a "KOHL DOUBLE HITTER"!

2010 started strong for Ernest Kohl, signing with a new label, Famour/EMG/Universal INC. and the release of his brand new Full-length Maxi-Single Wen U Dreem. Featuring 14 incredible remixes, it is fast rising up the Global Charts and over taking radio! Wen U Dreem  is from Ernest's forth-coming album Eternally which he is currently recording for release later this year. These releases were definitive of the NEW sound of Ernest Kohl.  Both the album and singles were being dedicated in memorial tribute to Brian Scott Harper, Ernest's partner and manager of 14 and 1/2 years who recently passed away of a massive heart attack. This new album truly shows the strength, confidence and perseverance of Ernest Kohl to continue on as Brian Scott Harper would have indeed wanted.

2011 : Ernest Kohl's new single is entitled Sooner Or Later. The digital release includes not less than 20 remixes.

2012 : in January, Ernest released Avantgarde, The Original Broadway Cast Recording (30 years after it was recorded in 1982 when Ernest starred in it. This was the 1st Broadway Musical EVER to contain HI-NRG & Disco & Dance Music!). Then came the maxi singles remixes CD of Avantgarde/Sandfleas on March 28, 2012 exactly 30 years later of the exact date the original musical opened. Avantgarde and Sandfleas were 2 of the highight songs from the show, remixed in today's Hi-Nrg style, with bonus tracks. It charted and got major radio play as well. In July, his new single o be released was Anyone Who's Ever Been In Love. Maxi contained not less than 30 remixes. Song was featured on movie The Cosmopolitan.

In December 24th, Happy New Year (originally released in 2002 as a double "A" side with song You Make Me Weak) was remixed and re-released solo on EMG/UMG Inc.

Love To You (1996)

Koke was a project of Antonio Martin, Jose Luis Hernandez and M. Cárceles. Love To You (a cover of Muddy Waters song I Just Want to Make Love to You which re-gained popularity in the mid-90s when Etta James' version was used as theme of a Diet Coke TV ad... hence the "sin azucar" mention on the vinyl's cover) featured vocals by Marian Dacal

Koroli (2013)

Russian eurodance/synth-pop project Komissar (Комиссар) was founded in the early 90s by producer lyricist Valeriy Sokolov, where word was still used for political civil servants with spacial powers. Musical team was completed by composer Leonid Velichkovsky, arranger Vadim Volodin. Group was fronted by DJ Alexey Shchukin.

Summer 1991, they finisehd recording their first album Nashe Vremya Prishlo (Наше Время Пришло, meaning Our time has come). They toured in concerts and festivals and in September they were invited in TV festival Zvezdnyi Dozhd' on RTR channel

Between 1991 and 1993 they were on high demand and received many awards. In 1994 they released a remix album with new versions of songs featured on Nashe Vremya Prishlo. After this, success seemed to fade away and they had to face a creative crisis.

In 1998, they finally released a new album entitled Dryan' (Дрянь)

Their follow-up album 2000 - Muzyka Novogo Tysyacheletiya (Музыка Нового Тысячелетия, meaning music for the new millenium) was released in 2000 under Zodiak Records. It was very succesful, in spite of massive piracy.

2 years later, they released Lyubov' - Eto Yad (Любовь - Это Яд, meaning love is poison). A videoclip was shot for the title song. It did not play that much on TVs, due to the bad advertisment strategoy of their records company ARS. So they broke contract with ARS. They kept on touring and recording new songs from time to time, but no new album was released till 2009.

2009 : new album NePiratskii was out under Moon Records.

2010 : performers team changed and group welcomed guitarists Anton Sergeev and Sergey Kinstler, and keyboardist Sergey Kazakovtsev

2013 : they released their new album Koroli (Короли) under Kvadro-Disk, as well as a compilation entitled Ty Uidesh'

Segodnya K Mame Ya Priyekhala Domoy (2002)
Starshiy Brat (2002)
Oranzhevoye Solntse (2003)
Te, Kto Lyubit (2004)

Belarussian project Kraski (Краски, mens paints or colors) was created in Minsk in 2001 by producer, composer and songwriter Alexey Voronov. Members were Alexey Voronov, female singer Oksana Kovalevskaya, choreographer Olga Guseva and a duet of keyboard players called Vasily Bogomja and Andrey Chigir. 2 other vocalists were mentioned in project's biographies : Katya Borovik and Evgenia Martrmyanova.

Their albums were known under their title as well as their colors (hence the project's name). First album Starshiy brat (Старший брат - meaning big brother in Russian) was also called "yellow album". It was released in 2002 under Iceberg Music. It was first presented in Minsk in 2001 under title Ty uzhe vzroslyy (Ты уже взрослый, a phrase which appeared in the lyrics of song Starshiy brat). It was elected as one of the most remarkable and memorable pop successes in Russia of 1991-2001 by magazine Aficha. Oksana married producer Alexei in July and gave birth to their child Vladimir in August. Kraski did a tour in 2001-2002 which lead them through Belarus for not less than 172 concerts. An unofficiel/fake best of entitled Zolotyye Khity - The Best Of The World was released under NMI Records.

Then in 2003 they decided to focus on Russian musical market, releasing following (red) album Ya Lyublyu Tebya, Sergey!. There was a first version with 12 tracks, then a reissue with 8 bonus tracks (among them, song Ty U Menya Odna which was a duet with boys band Yak-40 originally recorded in 2001).

Kraski started having trouble with Belarus authorities, and in April, their office was searched by the police, who even arrested some employees. Project had to fled to Moscow. They were joined by keyboardst Dmitry Orlovsky, while dancer Olga Guseva left the project, as well as Vasily Bogomya and Andrey Chigir. Album Oranzhevoye Solntse was released in 2003 too. It included a few new songs as well as remixes of their previous hits. An unofficial album entitled Ty U Menya Odna (Ты у меня одна) was also released the same year, under Star Factory. It included some "new" songs (Mama Ya Bol'na, Chto Zhe Ty Lyubov' Tak Daleko, Zvezda, Odna) as well as some tracks from the yellow and red albums.

Then came Vesna (Весна) aka the blue album and Te, Kto Lyubit (Те, Кто Любит) aka purple album in 2004. In 2004 too, an unofficial compilation called Best 2004 was released.

In 2005-2006, the project toured all over the world. In 2006, singer Ekaterina Sasha joined the project. Oksana settled in the United States. Meanwhile, some fake Kraski project performed their songs illegally.

2007 : after a pause, Oksana started to produce her own solo album. She gave birth to her second son called Alex.

In 2009, a green album without Oksana, the Zelenyy albom (Зеленый альбом) was released under label Monolit and featuring Marina Kireeva. It was actually a fake released by a project using illegally the name Kraski.

In 2010, rumors said that Kraski officially split. However, on the project's official blog, one could read that Alexei Voronov and former member Olya Guseva were about to record an album together and that project was tourning in discos with Ekaterina Sasha.

2011 : Marina Ivanova became the project's new face after Ekaterina left.

2012 : end of July, Marina was abduced in St Petersburg, but rescued by the police and kidnapper was arrested. Meanwhile, Oksana went on her solo carreer, releasing many records between 2012 and 2013. She was also invited to perform Kraski songs in 90s festivals. In December, Alexei and Marina went to Hollywood to record some new songs.

2013 : in March, they announced a Zelenyy albom by the real Kraski project was planned. But in September, its release was postponed because their heavy touring schedule did not leave them enough time for the album. There was a legal fight between Oksana and Alexey on the songs' rights. Alexey wrote a book, promising revelations about the project's story.

2014 : Alexey won the lawsuit concerning ownership of Paints trademarks and songs. Song On Ne Znayet Nichego was used on official sountrack of movie Vypusknoy.

2015 : in October, Marina left the project to be replaced by Daria Subbotina.

2018 : in April, Oksana Kovalevskaya came back to front Kraski. Alexey Voronov is still fighting against fake projects which are performing under name Kraski without authorization. They sued Marina Kireeva who recorded the fake green album.

Belgian musician and composer Patrick Claesen aka Pat Krimson was born in 1966 in the Belgian region of Limburg. He started his carreer in the mid 80s. In 1988 he was hired as promotion boy at Antler-Subway Records in Aarschot. At that time nobody could have dreamed that this man from Limburg would become one of the driving forces behind this company. On the one hand he set up a succesful record label Dance Opera, which soon became one of the most popular labels thanks to hits like Time Modulator, Flashing and Fly Tox. On the other hand he founded the popular Flemish band Leopold 3, with whom he reaches the zenith of fame in Belgium.

Then he created succesful eurodance project 2 Fabiola (still an homage to Belgian monarchy). He founded the labels Dance Opera, Circus and Atmoz. Atmoz was also the name of 2 clubs he opened in Hasselt and Turnhout.

1996 : his first solo track Atmozfear was released on a double A-side single also including Milk Inc's La Vache.

In 2000, he left Belgium with his wife Ann Vervoort (former Milk Inc frontlady). Together, they established the label Benimusa in Ibiza.

Pat also stands behind a huge number of projects, including Adams & Krimson, Aqua Ninja, Atomizer, Avenue, B.I.G., Blue Garden, Code Red, Cold Sensation, DLM, Dreamland, General Max, Ghostdance, Hyp-no-tyz, Hypp & Krimson, King Arthur, Krimson Project, La Mancha, Model 2000, Model 3000, North Sea, Nunca, Odyssey, Olympia, Pink Stanly Ford, Ravebusters, Shaka Shaka, Sonata, Ultra Shock and Zafari.

2008 : Pat was back on stage with his project 2 Fabiola, along with 2 new female vocalists. The same year, he released his single Colors (United In Ibiza) featuring Ideley.

2009 : new Pat Krimson single was entitled The Rush Of My Life, featuring vocals by Sue Price.

Pat lives in Zonhoven with model, photograph and designer Jolijn Steegen.

Me He Enamorado (1996)

Minerva Perez comes from Spain. Born in Barcelona in 1977, she is a talented vocalist but also a songwriter : she writes most of her tracks. In 1994 she released her very first singles in Spain under the name KU Minerva (according to some, project name was a mix between Italian project KU and Minerva's first name). Then came her first album Promesas in 1996, produced by Arcade Spain. It was also released in Mexico, Argentina, and a few other countries. It contained many great tracks such as No Seas Malo, Promesas, Llorando Por Ti, and Hoy Sin Ti. This was definitively a great Spanish dance album.

Later in 1997 her album was re-released all over the world under the simple name of Minerva. The title also changed : the album was renamed Dejame Sonar (under Caiman Music US). She also released Crying For You, the English version of Llorando Por Ti, only available on promo. Minerva's voice was clearly different compared to her debut Spanish album, and therefore the tracks were remastered with even more thumping dance music. Even the track Promesas was remixed and renamed No Quiero Promesas.

In 1998 Minerva released a new album entitled Abreme Las Puertas under Caiman Music US. It also featured many great tracks such as Fuego, Basta Ya, Abreme Las Puertas, Razones, and also a few ballads.

In 1998 and 1999 Minerva was busy writing songs for other artists such as Litzy, Lula Pop, and the Mexican dance group Sentidos Opuestos. She also released in 2000 a new album called Perdiendo El Control in Mexico (BMG) and Fuera De Control in Spain. The first single to be taken from this album was Juntos an incredible dance track. Lagrimas Por Ti was one of the best dance tracks on the album and sure to be a huge club hit.

2006 : a new remix of Llorando por tí was released for this summer 2006. This HSP Radio Mix 2006 will come with a new video

2016 : she released a comeback single entitled Sin Mirar Atrás. A new version of the song was then released in 2019.

Hungary

Hungarian singer and pianist Tímea "Timi" Kullai aka Mystiqua is also an actress and model. She is known for her colorful, extravaganza style. Her style is based on the spirit of the 80's / 90's, culminating in various African-American music genres. The vocal range of her dramatic voice spans more than 3 octaves, and the core of this drama is the fact her black throat and African-American soul is trapped in a white body. In addition to her ever-changing eclectic image, she is known for her distinctive and recognizable voice.

She was born in Budapest, Hungary as a single child from a biologist (Irma Erzsébet Kálnay) and an engineer, inventor, CEO of HÍRÉP and a member of the American Who Is Who (Pál Kullai). She enjoyed a happy childhood, which gave her a solid background and a motivation towards music. . She always wanted to be different than the others, with the support from her parents, and till nowadays kept her big desire for originality. As she was only 12, she built a drum set from various objects. Then at 14 she started learning the piano. She graduated at high school Fényes Elek Közgazdasági Szakközépiskola

In 2000, she took part to Miss World Hungary contest and was among the finalist. This allowed her to start a modeling and acting carreer. The following year, she started attending the liberal arts department of the university József Attila Tudományegyetem, focusing on media and journalism. In 2002, as she was still studying, she started working as a news anchor and took part to many television commercials.

Timi took part to real-TV talent contests Hungarian Idol in 2003. This is how she was spotted and hired to replace Dorina Galambos as singer of the acid-jazz group Calzoncillos A Rayas in 2004. With them, she recorded songs You're My Mind and Várlak. The video for this song stirred a little bit of controversy because of the shots where she appeared undressed.

In 2006, she became the lead singer of the Jamiroquai Tribute Band. At the same time, she toured as a member of another band, Félharmónikusok, which performed the biggest hits of the 80's. This helped her shaping her stage presence. 2007 saw her beginning as the host of the main stage of Váci Világi Vigalom festival, for many years. Then in 2008, she entered the band Végtelen and with them she shot her second music video, for the song Édessós.

In 2009, she started working as the face of Nestlé, appearing at various events, and eventually becoming their Dolce Gusto ambassador. She also recorded 2 songs with TNT frontman Inti, but songs were not officially released due to technical difficulities (even if they performed it live).

She competed in X-Faktor in 2010, where she was selected for the final and got the Hungarian Tina Turner nickname (later shortened as "Timi Turner") . She then became a member of a new band, All About, with whom she only sung but also co-composed.

In 2011, she took part in the creation of three independent rock operas by Eudoxia Fund. Meanwhile, she kept touring with All About. Their song Wasted aired on Jazzy Radio. Then she took part to Hungarian Idol 2012, which led her to share the stage with Flo-Rida. The next year, she became the frontwoman of the resident band of TV channel Viasat, Mortal Wombat. Her song Wasted was re-recorded under title Don't Leave and released with a music video.

In 2016, she performed as a guest singer and frontwoman of the robot band Real Giana Brothers, touring as support act for Anna & The Barbies and for Wellhello.

In 2017, she did vocals on BG the Prince of Rap's Never Give Up, So Special and You'll Be Mine. She also collaborated with Chrizz Morisson, Free 2 Night and Lightwarrior.

Timi Kullai was featured on DJ Combo & DJ Merk - The Summer Is Magic 2k19 and 3 songs of Chrizz Morisson : Bailando 2k19, Let's Get Up 2k19, Here I Go 2k19. She also shares the stage with BG the Prince of Rap during the biggest 90s festivals.

Timi's favorite bands are Earth, Wind & Fire, Starpoint, Change, Midnight Star and The System. Other inspirations include Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, Brandy, Alicia Keys, Lori Glori, Tania Evans, Penny Ford, Jellybean.

2020 : she did vocals for NaXwell & DJ Combo's progressive house cover of 2 Brothers on the 4th Floor's hit Dreams (Will Come Alive).

Seduce Me (1991)
Talk To Me (1995)

Canadian singer Tiziana N. Kutic aka Tina K. was born and raised in Montreal, Canada to a Croatian father and Italian mother. After having completed a business program and graduating from Lester B. Pearson High School, she studied visual arts at Champlain College. She later went on to study fashion buying and merchandising in New York City at The Tobe-Coburn School and at Lansdowne College in London, England.

Upon her return to Montreal she decided to pursue her lifelong interest in music. She began to write and record songs which led to signing with an independent dance label, Dance Plant Records. Her 2 first singles, All I Wanna Do and Talk to Me were produced by Canadian producer John Brenner. Together, they later released a dance single called Boom Bam under the band name Mannequin. Tiziana also wrote and recorded with Canadian songwriter/producer Jean-Pierre Isaac.

Tina K. wrote and recorded several more songs before pursueing her career in Europe. In 1990 she settled down in Brussels, Belgium where she recorded songs with British actor/musician-producer David Morley for R&S Records. In 1991 they released Seduce Me as an underground club track. That recording led to the first release on Mark Moore's (S'Express) London based label, Splish Records/Rhythm King. Seduce Me was popular in European clubs and played by some of the most famous DJ's worldwide, and remixed by various producers.

In 1992, she went on to sign a publishing deal with EMI Belgium together with her songwriter/producer partner Gery François. After signing to EMI, she signed to Battle Avenue Records as a recording artist and began working with dance producer Koen Tilly, and also with Dominique Sas and Serge Ramaekers of the New Beat band, Confetti's. Her releases included eurodance song Does Anybody Love This Girl (as Kontesa), Kiss Me Deep, and Skies are Blue.

Tina K. returned to New York in 1994 and began recording with avant-garde composer David Shea, whom she later married. She covered the track Initals B.B. (produced by Shea) for the Composer Series: Great Jewish Music: Serge Gainsbourg on John Zorn's label, Tzadik Records. She was later signed by Shep Pettibone to his company, Mastermix Productions. In the late 1990's, Tina K. also recorded with such names as Keith Reid, and Chaz Jankel.
