Dance To The Music (1995)

The single Dance To The Music was written by Mariole, Learmond Jr. (who was also featured by Paradiso on the track The Hustle), Andy Smith and Andy Williams within an hour and recorded that afternoon in a studio in Neston. Raps and vocals was done by Learmond Jr. Female vocals were done by a studio vocalist called Karen. It was published by Paradigm Music in 1995 (licensed in 1996 under Popular Records L.L.C), original composition by Paradigm, engineering & additional production by Jon Maidment. Single was licenced from Paradigm Productions Ltd. & Xclusive Records Ltd. Learmond JNR appeared courtesy of Rhythm & Rhyme.

Courtney Dean St Patrick Williams and Richard Wayne Williams, well-known for being the rappers from LOFT, are sometimes wrongly credited as rappers, but this is a mistake with the name of one co-writers, Andy Williams.

Not to be confused with the house project E-Motion produced by Justin Oliver & A. Angus, which released the singles Naughty North, Sexy South (1996), I Stand Alone, Broken Wings, In The Moment, or with the Dutch E-motion which did the nice eurodance track So In Love With You.

Max, Don't Have Sex With Your Ex (ranking #7 in the German charts, #20 in France and #1 in Israel, gold record in Germany) was the first hit the group recorded in 1994. About 15 years later, it was revealed that the rapper's voice actually belonged to... Deon Blue of Pharao !

After this great success, they came with another hit Fred, Come To Bed (ranking 3 in the German charts, # 2 in Israel, once again gold record in Germany). The saga continued : 'After Max had sex with his Ex, I ended up in bed with Fred' explains Lyane Leigh. "It is only a song, in real life I am still a single woman" she says. Many guys would probably die to become a Fred - she has so many male fans that it is quite hard to keep them away from her. According to rumors, the second part of the group, Raz-ma-Taz, became a collector of... bras. During their tournee in Germany his female fans were throwing bras on the stage !

The group performed in clothes that kept the body rather uncovered, along with 2 stage dancers called Ghislaine and Angie. But their private life was quite different. While Richard usually did not dare to miss any good night party and usually was winning the title of the "King of Flirt", Lyane usually stayed in the hotel. She did not like night escapades, she also did not like an alcohol, with few exceptions when she drinks some champagne on a very special occasions. In 1995 Richard moved to his new house Chateau Navagne (built in 1292) near Maastricht in Belgium with his friend, Rod (from Fun Factory) leaving his apartment to Deon Blue (ex Pharao rapper) with whom he shared it.

After the single Sex On The Phone (ranking #6 in the German charts, 230.000 sold records) E-Rotic released their first album Sex Affairs in 1995 on Intercord. This album included the whole 'story' and practically every song E-Rotic made, was a hit on the spot.  "Making love" sounds were all over this album. The cartoon above is the part of CD insert, indicating that story of Max, Fred and the girl continued. It was the break through all over Europe : e.g. 15. ranking in the German charts, leader in Finland; 3 times gold record, 1 platinum and 1 triple gold. In the end of 1995 E-Rotic dropped Willy Use A Billy... Boy where a new 'character' was introduced to the scene, ranking #11 in the German charts, and gold record.

In the next single released in February 1996 Help Me Dr. Dick, girl was seeking further help but this time a 'professional' one. Another character, Fritz who had been introduced originally in track Fred Come To Bed finally appeared in the newest single released in April 1996 : Fritz Loves My Tits. Both Help Me Dr. Dick and Fritz Loves My Tits were first songs by 'new' E-rotic formation. At this time effectively, Lyane and Richard had left the project by themselves. David Brandes had his own version about this : he explained that the duo was getting too big for their boots, and that once they stole the keys of their tour bus to avoid doing a TV show, so afterwards he fired them. To the contrary, Richard explained that they were not fired but left : "He took money from live shows and had no respect for the live group E-rotic. The first E-rotic had nothing fake about us we both rap and sing". Lyane adds that "We were never shown in the videos and so we had problems with our concerts, cause no-one really knew us as persons".

Lyane and Richard created the project S.E.X. Appeal, based on the same concept as E-rotic. According to what Lyane explained, the contract that she had signed obliged her to keep on singing in studio for E-rotic till 1999, so she stayed as studio vocalist. But actually, her contract was only for one year and she renewed regularly, since this allowed her to earn a lot of money.

The new official E-Rotic members were the model Jeanette Christensen and the rapper Terence d'Arby. E-Rotic gave few concerts in Germany and one in Poland and, in the beginning of June 1996 E-rotic released next single called The Power Of Sex from the album that has been released in the end of June under the same name. The new album contained songs performed by the old and the new team.

Around October 1996 E-Rotic released a new single called Gimme Good Sex. Terence d'Arby left the group, and his place was taken by another American singer/dancer Ché Jouaner. In the end of 1996 group was on tour in Europe, visited Finland where E-Rotic was a quite popular group

In June 1997 they released their third album called Sexual Madness. It was slightly different from the sound of  Sex Affairs or Power Of Sex (no news from Max, Fred and his friends) anyway fans of the group had everything to be delighted with this pure Eurodance album.

Just in the end of August 1997 the group released a new single that did not appear on their recent album. It was a cover of ABBA's megahit The Winner Takes It All (which peaked # 7 in Israel). It seemed that E-Rotic tried to change its image with a modified music concept. All this happened with their fourth album called Thank You For The Music, a tribute to the now classic Swedish pop group ABBA.

The album was released in France under the project name Jenn and C (Jenn probably stood for Jeanette and C. stood for Ché). The album title and tracklisting was the same as the Japanese one.

On April 1998, E-Rotic released another album, targeted mostly towards the Japanese market. Entitled with humour Greatest Tits, it was a summary of the previous singles of the group. Only 3 titles were original ones : The Horniest Single In The World (a megamix of 5 of their biggest hits), Baby Please Me and In The Dark Of The Night both written by David Brandes and John O'Flynn. The first of them was a typical E-rotic song  recorded in style we well know this group from. The second was slower breath-taking eurodance song. Once again fans had some reasons to be worried : was it really the end of the wonderful dance act ?

Fortunately not ! On March 1999, E-Rotic's last album was released. Entitled Kiss Me, it was only released in Japan. An excellent Eurodance album in the most purest E-Rotic style ! In November, the single Mambo No Sex was released. Inspired of Lou Bega's huge hit Mambo N° 5, it summarized the whole E-Rotic story. This was the first track featuring Lydia as studio singer. In December 1999, the Kiss me album was at least released in Europe under the title of Mambo No Sex. with 2 additionnal tracks which were 2 versions of Mambo.

The beginning of the year 2000 saw the release of a new album. Entitled Gimme Gimme Gimme, it contained Mambo No Sex plus 14 brand new tracks and was only relaesed in Japan. During the same period, E-Rotic released a single to compete for the Eurovision 2000 : Queen Of Light was a very good dance track, unfortunately with no raps and no sexual contents. They won the preselections but unfortunately, they were finally not chosen to represent Germany in this contest. During the preselections, Jeanette had to sing live, and everyone could hear that she was probably not the real voice of the song.

While a new album entitled I'm Missing You (the alter ego of Gimme Gimme Gimme) was released in Germany on April 2000, together with the single of the same name, E-Rotic was already working on a new album which release was first planned for October 2000. It was entitled Sex Generation. Its release will be delayed to February 2001 because of Che's departure. Instead, an album entitled Dancemania Presents E-Rotic Megamix will be released. It will contain 5 new original tracks : Cat's Eyes which is the next single to be released in Japan, En Mon Coeur, Move Me Baby, Ooh Lalala,  and Test My Best.

December 2000 : The new single to be released in Germany in entitled Sexual Healing. A rumor said Ché would be back but was not confirmed by Bros Music. However, the E-Rotic management said that they were planning a new rapper.

2001 : In March 2001 E-Rotic performed at the TV-show "Kinderquatsch mit Michael" with the song In The Heat Of The Night. On 9th of May the new album Sexual Healing was released in Japan. The next single L.O.V.E. was first released as a part of the japanese compilation Dancemania X9 and it was planned for release in Europe too.

For a Japanese tour, Jeanette recorded some raps of the songs with her own voice, for example for songs such as Give Me Delight with Jeanette rapping.

August 2001 : After Ché, Jeanette left E-rotic to start a solo carreer under the simple name of Jeane. But her debut single did not have the success expected... A second Best Of album was released in October in Japan.

October 2001 : After the Best Of, E-rotic released on the 3rd of October a new single entitled Billy Jive (With Willy's Wife). An awesome track with the real E-Rotic style ! The release was limited to Japan. It included a B-side entitled Skin To Skin. The new front lady was Yasemin Baysal, who was the first singer of the Felix J. Gauder project Das Modul. E-rotic also signed under a new label in Germany, ePark (the same as Captain Jack).

The 29th of October another single was released from the forthcoming album, this time in Germany : it was entitled King Kong. Then followed the new album on November 7th in Japan (planned for release later in Germany), his title was Sex Generation. The first singles were performed by the duo singer-rapper we are used to, and once again there was a rumor according to which Ché would be back... Another rumor said Lyane would have taken part to 3 songs of the last album.

2002 : on the 5th of January E-rotic appeared on RTL2 Germany for the broadcast Apres-Ski 2002, we could see that effectively Ché was back, with Yasemin as new female vocalist. But in April they both left the project : Ché was planning a new single and Yasemin went back to her job of manager in a big company. At first there were rumors telling that E-rotic's story in Germany was over, but finally it seemed to be wrong.

E-rotic planned to release an edited version of Mi Amante as a single in the next months, but after the leaving of Yasemin, nobody knew if the song would be released under E-rotic. Bros-Music told, that another band, maybe The Lovers, or an unknown project named E.R. would release that song, remixed in a more latin version. It was finally released as E.R. A new album was released in Japan, it was be once again a "best of" compilation : a double CD entitled The Collection.

In Germany, the next single was Max Don't Have Sex With Your Ex '02. It was taken from the forthcoming album Total Recall, which only contained remakes of old E-rotic songs. Lyane's voice was used in the remakes. If this one was successful, the following track to be released would be Fred Come To Bed 2002. In April Davis Brandes promised unofficially that there would be a brand new E-rotic album coming after...

May : the name of E-rotic's new female vocalist was revealed : Lydia Madawjewski. Actually she was the vocalist who has always been singing in studio, after Lyane could leave the project for good in 1999. David Brandes also recently revealed he was himself the real rapper of the project, apart from the very first single.

The new album of E-rotic that is planned to be released after Total Recall will be called Cocktail D'Erotique (or rather : Cocktail E-rotic). First released in Japan, it will include 15 or 16 tracks, all brand new. Among them there will be a song entitled Gimme Your Jimmy, and another one called Is That The Way You Are.

2003 : E-Rotic performed live on the German TV-channel RTL 2 on the 6th of January 2003. They sung their new single Max Don't have Sex 2002. We could discover Lydia on stage... and the face of the new rapper ! His name is (according to rumors) Robert Spehar, he is a DJ and a model. On the 5th February, E-rotic released their album Total Recall (all their hits remixed in eurotrance style) in Japan.

In October, E-rotic released the track Heartbreaker as promo in Japan. It ranked #1 on a radio chart

2004 : E-rotic will release a megamix in Japan in August.

2005 : E-rotic was put to a halt, which did not mean that it would not start again one day. David Brandes was very busy with his other projects, Gracia, Virus Inc or Vanilla Ninja (on their first album, the melody of E-rotic's Don't You See The Light was re-used. On their second album, E-rotic track's Save Me was covered under another title : My Puzzle Of Dreams.)

2006 : King Kong was translated in Japanese and re-released in Germany and Japan by the project Shanadoo (it had been actually covered a previous time by another Japanese project : Hinoi team). Shanadoo, David Brandes' new project, featured 4 cute Japanese girls. The next single was once again a cover : My Samurai was based on the melody of Fred Come To Bed. Then came in November a slow track called Guilty Of Love which copied The Power Of Sex. Their first album also included a cover of Give A Little Love and Just A Little Flirt. The track Passion In Your Eyes was based on Shenandoah. One Tear Ago recycled the melody of Is It You. The track Like An Anime used the melody of Ecstasy. Wake Me was inspired from Save Me. Listen To The Rhythm was based on the melody of Willy Use a Billy... Boy.

2007 : and recycling goes on... in July, Shanadoo released a single entitled Fly Me To Shanghai, built on the melody of Nick Please Not So Quick. The new album The Symbol was once again full of E-rotic covers : Lover On The Run (based on Lemmings On The Run), Heart To Heart (built on Test My Best), Bonjour Tristesse (Dance With The Vamps), You Are My Daydream (I Feel Your Heartbeat), From Time To Time (Rave Me Dave). There were also 2 covers : Gotta Get It Groovin and L.O.V.E.

2008 : according to some rumors, E-rotic could release a new track. It would be a cover of Vanilla Ninja's track Liar. But finally, nothing came out. The same year, Miki vs Niki released a cover of Shenandoah entitled Shenandoah Vaim.

2014 : Lyane Leigh was officially back to front E-Rotic on 90s festivals stages, along with Stephen Appleton, a new rapper and actor from Cologne. Stephen was born in 1980 in Monrovia (Liberia). Sometimes, another rapper was on stage : James Allan. She announced that she was working in studio on some brand new E-Rotic songs, that would be included on a new Best Of album planned for 2015. Production and recordings were made by Icezone Music

2016 : E-Rotic's released their brand new single Video Starlet

2019 : rapper Stephen was replaced by Ricardo Brownn.

2020 : a reboot 21 of the hit Max Don't Have Sex was out. The best-of Greatest Tits was first time released on double yellow & black vinyl with new mastering.

2021 : E-Rotic released 3 singles : Murder Me '21, Head Over Heels along with a live-action videoclip featuring Lyane, and Heaven Can Wait

This Is The Way (UK Remixes) (1995)

Location : Bromma, Sweden
The BendOver Band : E-Type, Dilnarin "Dee" Demirbag (dancer), Andreas Hörnsten (bass), Markus Alderbäck (keyboard)
Guest vocals : Nana Hedin, Birgitta Edoff, Anna Nordell.

Bo Martin Erik 'E-Type' Eriksson was born in Uppsala, Sweden, in 1965. His father is Bo 'Bosse'G. Eriksson, well known from the science TV program 'Vetenskapens Värld' (World of Science). His mother is called Elisabeth, and his sister Erika. In his teens he moved to Bromma, and now he lives in the middle of Stockholm. His pseudonym comes from the model of Jaguar his father owned. According to other sources, somebody once referred to Martin as "den där e-typen" (that e-fellow). One rough translation later and an artist name was born...

His musical career started early. He was a drummer for many years for a hard-rock group called Hexen House, then played with speedmetalband called Manninya Blade till "they actually fired my ass when I humbley suggested that mayby not all songs have to be 12 minutes long and all about dark death and doom" E-type recalls. He met up with Stakka Bo in 1991, with three singles as a result (We Got The Atmosphere/The Dream in 1991 and Numania 1/Obey in 1992 ). This lead to a work as DJ at one of the most popular TV-station in Sweden - Z-TV. The summer of 1993, his first solo single, called I'm Falling, was released without reaching any great success.

The great breakthrough came in 1994 when the collaboration with the Cheiron producers Denniz PoP, Max Martin and Amadin was started. The work with E-Type's debut-album Made In Sweden begun. The first result of the hard work in the Cheiron studio came the same summer, when the single Set The World On Fire (with vocals by Nana Hedin) was released. It climbed the charts like a speeding bullet and sold gold in Sweden. It reached # 1 on the Swedish Dance Chart, # 2 on the Swedish sale-chart and # 4 in Israel.

The follow-up, This Is The way, reached No. 1 on the sale-chart and was the most sold single in Sweden for several weeks. It was # 7 in Israel. Eventually four singles were released from the album : the ballad Do You Always (Have To Be Alone) and Russian Lullaby (co-written by Jonas Berggren from Ace Of Base). The album itself was released in November 1994 and made it up to No. 2 on the album-chart. All in all, over 100 000 copies were sold in Sweden and the album was listed for 26 weeks.

E-Type's tremendous success during 1994 was heavily rewarded at Swedish Dance Music Awards in March 1995. He took a grand slam and won three of the most prestigious prizes: Best song, Best artist and Newcomer. At the same time Denniz PoP was chosen as the best producer for the second time.

Now the whole world was screaming after E-Type. 1995 meant a lot of travelling around the globe for E-Type and his Bend over Band. During the latter part of 95 E-Type was touring in Asia, here the hysteria is getting bigger for every day. Six singles where released in France, except the four released in Sweden, one of them So Dem A Com. Also the US and UK have shown their interest. This Is The Way reached No. 15 on the Billboard Club Chart and No. 6 on the UK Club Chart.

During 1996 E-Type and the producer-team spent a lot of time in the studio working with the new album The Explorer, which was released in Sweden on the 23rd of October. The album was preceded with the single Free Like A Flying Demon that was released in September. It was No. 1 for several weeks. and so far it has sold more than 20 000 copies (gold).

On The Explorer, E-Type has still been working with producers Denniz PoP, Max Martin and Kristian Lundin. But the music has changed. On this record you will find more guitars and less techno-sounds than on the previous album. Still this album is a dance-album, including an amount of great songs. Back In The Loop is the wildest song since Russian Lullaby and the album contains a lot of more interesting material. The sales in Sweden are well above 100 000 copies. E-type himself describes the album as heavier and more brutal than Made In Sweden, something you certainly have to agree with.

In the middle of November the second single Calling Your Name was released. As usual it entered the dance- and sale-chart at a high position. In a few weeks time it had advanced to No. 1 at the SDC. The remixes were made by Antiloop and Pierre Jerksten. The story went on. A handful of singles were released: Back In The Loop, a song about being on tour together with the Bend over band, the great summerhit I Just Wanna Be With You and the fifth and last single You Will Always Be A Part Of Me, which also contained a megamix of the most popular E-type singles.

E-type's status as a national hero in Sweden had been very big for a long time, but when E-type went back to his roots, with a more eurodisco-like sound, his popularity increased enormously in first of all the Nordic countries. The first taste of things to come was given to the public in June. Angels Crying, as the single was called, rapidly walked its way up the charts and set the standard for the album and the following single Here I Go Again, which both topped the dance and sales-chart and peaked # 8 in Israel. Another wall in the E-Type home was decorated with gold and platinum awards. The album everybody had been waiting for was released on November 27th. E-Type lived up to the great expectations. It was his third album, and also the third album on which he had worked together with the Cheiron-producers.

Though all the success this year has been the darkest for E-type and the Swedish music-business in a long long time. On August 30th the famous producer and close friend to E-type, Denniz PoP died. Since December 1997 Denniz PoP knew that he had cancer, and already in February he was too sick to be able to collect his Grammy at the Swedish awards. He was only 35 years old.

For the fourth time in five years E-type was the most successful male artist at the prestigious 'Tracks-listan' on the radio-channel P3. E-Type and the Bend Over Band will hit the roads once again this spring, and all the Nordic countries will be able to see the show where wildness is personified.

But E-Type has also become a writer. A great Swedish publishing company has accepted his manuscript for a children's' book about the period of the Vikings. It was to the editor under a false name. He also wrote some songs for the Army Of Lovers and the group Maxi.

1999 : E-Type has been nominated for a Swedish Grammy in the category 'Modern dance', along with Dr. Bombay, Richi M and Black Moses. Among them, E-type has to be considered the favourite. All the Grammy nominations are official since January 14th, but some have been public since the end of last year. The Cheiron-producers Max Martin and Kristian Lundin have also been nominated, in the classes 'best producers' and 'best composers'. The winners are to be presented in February and the show will be broadcasted on Swedish TV.

The release of the third single from Last Man Standing, called Princess of Egypt,  was originally set to January 22nd, but the single was delayed. As to the sound, it had an Egyptian theme and gave some associations to When religion comes to town. The single included an extended version, a remix made by Pinocchio and the video of Angels Crying in Mpeg-format. The single reached position # 6 in Israel.

2000 : E-Type has released a single Campione 2000, for the football championship Euro 2000. The single was very successful, reaching # 4 in Israel. Nana Hedin is not with the band anymore. During the summer he made a song with Blümchen, Es Ist Nie Vorbei, it will be featured on E-Type's next album which was at first planned to be released in the spring 2001. Dee left the prject to start a solo carreer.

2001 : E-Type released his new single Life in November 12th. The forthcoming album, entitled Euro IV Ever, was postponed to the end of 2001. It was at first entitled Eurofighter until the day of September 11th 2001, where the title was changed. It was finally released in November, most of the tracks feature the voice of Na Na as female vocalist. E-Type gave a release-party on the 25th of November.

2002 : the next single to be released was the beautiful track Africa, in March . It peaked to position #5 in Sweden. On the 27th of April, E-type appeared on the broadcast "Who Wants To Be A Millionnnaire" on Swedish TV 4. The follow-up was Banca Banca, a latino track, on June 24th.

2003 : E-type did a series of concerts at the beginning of the year, called the "Eurometal tour". With him, a team including a few new faces : Johan Dereborn (bass), Mikkey Dee (drummer for Motörhead for many many years, and a good friend to E-type and Johan), Roger Gustafsson (guitarist, who was already a part of the previous tour), Pontus Norgren (heavy rockin' guitarist and a skilled sound engineer), Therese Löf and Linda Andersson (vocalists).

A new album was being prepared, but it would not be finished before February of the next year. The production of the album took a bit longer than expected and Martin had so far written about 10 songs for the album. At this time the album's name had not even been decided yet... but it should be a traditional E-type album, without any boring country of metal tracks.

2004 : Max Martin, Rami and E-type started producing the new single on Januray 1st. Called Paradise, it was be out on the 28th of February. The new album, finally entitled Loud Pipes Save Lives, will be released on the 24th of March.

On the release day of his new single, E-type competed, among several Swedish artists, to be chosen as the artist who will represent Sweden for the Eurovision contest. One could see that Nana Hedin was back for good in the group. The drummer was still wearing a Motörhead T-shirt (E-Type wore a MSG-tshirt) ! During his performance, the audience did not stop clapping their hands. "I admit that my participation in this contest is mainly for promoting my forthcoming album. I'd never reject an opportunity to prove my skills in front of 3 million people. I apologize to all my eurodance-fans, but I must spread my wings and do crazy things sometimes". E-Type was selected for the big final in Stockholm in in a couple of weeks...

After all these years, E-type really became a name in his homeland. The King of Sweden himself loves his music. He was even invited to the Emirate of Bahrain, because the Emir also was one of his fans. E-Type received from him a white stallion as a gift but... the horse is still waiting for the end of his quarantine period at the Swedish border !

At the beginning of April, Paradise reached #11 in Finland and entered the Finnish Dance chart at position #28.

E-type's next single was released on hte 14th of June. Outside Sweden, it was Camilla, second track to be taken from the brand new album. In Sweden, the lyrics were changed, and the single was called Olympia. It will be hymn of Swedish olympic team.

2005 : E-type's new single was actually a double one. It contained The Predator and Far Up In The Air.

In July, E-type took part to a new Swedish TV-series about redesigning old swedish cottages (torp), among other things he made a loo in the form of an ancient viking-style church made of wood.

2006 : E-type is ready to conquer the American market with the help of Airus Entertainment (lead by Henri Bonan, the one behind releasing Da Buzz in the US). The album that has been officially released in the United States is a mixture of Euro IV Ever and Loud Pipes Save Live, is entitled Euro IV Ever in America.

E-type performed in Stockholm on a big soccer afterparty on June 10th and June 20th.

E-type started writing new songs this Fall/Winter. He started a record company called Lulubelle records

2007 : in May, E-type finished recording his new single True Believer in studio with Max Martin and John Amatiello producing. The new single, written by E-type and Savan Kotecha, featured vocals by Sanne Karlsson (no relationship with Whigfield). The future new album will be entitled Eurotopia. In July the video for his new single True Believer was shot. The video was inspired from horror movies such as Evil Dead. 4 young people go out to a cottage in the forest and party. A curse is set when they start playing musi on a tape recorder. Two off the young people were changed to demons. In one scene of the clip, E-type even lost his head...

In August the title of E-type's forthcoming single was revealed : it will be entitled To The Lions. The official video for True Believer was released : it was finally not the gore movie that E-type promised a few weeks ago, but a live video shot during Skellefteå 2007. True Believer reached gold in Sweden.

E-type's new single will not be entitled To The Lions but Eurofighter. The radio release was initially set for September 17th but was finally postponed. So was the album... Eurotopia was finally out on October 31st. It contained only 9 tracks, since E-type could not write an intro for it (he still could not play the piano because of his broken hand), but all of them were excellent dance tracks. For once, some of the tracks did not feature E-type's voice at all.

During the winter monthes, E-type toured across Sweden with Julgalan, a Christmas festival gathering several national artists.

E-Type and Jakob Samuelsson, from the band The Poodles, wrote a song entitled Line Of Fire that will compete in Melodifestivalen 2008, the Swedish Grand Prix. "That's gonna be fun and only fun, we will not win there for sure, but we will have fun, the kinda fun you can only have in a band" E-type explains.

2008 : E-Type and The Poodles did not make it to the final, but they will perform thir song again at the second-chance contest in March.

2009 : Ding Ding Song will be digitally released in the Netherlands.

2010 : E-Type announced that he was back in studio again. But this time he would opt for a more modern sound...

2011 : E-Type's new single was entitled Back 2 Life. It was more electro than eurodance. In November, he took part to second season of real-TV show "Så mycket bättre".

2012 : E-Type plans a new best of album.

Let The Bass Kick 2002 (2002)

Producers : Ege Van Kruysdjik, Marcel Theunissen. Ege van Kruysdijk was born on 15th May 1971 in Holland. When he was young he started as a DJ in some clubs around Eindhoven. Later he met Marcel Theunissen and then they started to produce their own music. They made some remixes for Dutch radio-programms like the "Ricksmix"

Egma (made of the producers first names, Ege and Marcel) began as a Dutch techno project. 2 singles were released : Don't Have To Be Jesus and Let the Bass Kick (at the Mid-Town-label).

Then they joined the eurodance movement, re-creating the project around a female vocalist, Ilse Geels. The male singer (and co-writer) was as a model called Henk van de Wiel. Never Gonna Lose Your Love was a huge hit all over Europe (especially in France where it stayed #1 during 10 weeks) but surprisingly it was less successful in Holland (only 3 weeks in the Dutch charts). Another member then joined the project : Margo Smulders, who had begun her career as a dancer, while she was studiing to become a dance teacher. The trio appeared on the Dance Machine stage in Paris in June 1994.

At this time Ege was DJ at disco-club Freebird (at this time this club was called Key-West) in Asten together with Ruud Van Rijen. Meanwhile Marcel was DJ in Eindhoven at disco-club Diamonds.

After the single Love Is (position # 4 in Israel), the team changed : a new male singer, Michael Robby (born in 1974), joined the project while Henk had decided to give more time to his family. Then came the single Make My Day, that they sung at Dance Machine, followed by Tell It To My Heart.

Ege (who also appears under the nickname of Terranza) and Marcel (aka Nich) also produced the projects Usha (I Want You (You Want Me), Camen (Better Off, Shake You Down), The Company (Open Your Eyes), No Sense, Revolution Team, Wonderland (In Our Dreams, Movin' Around and Be On A Star), Sound Victory (Understand This Groove) and some projects inging in Dutch such as Pilleboer. Ege also produced the girl band Close II You with Ed van Otterdijk. Marcel, with the help of Martijn de Vries, stood behind the projects Central Seven and Cinderella.

They also realized the 'House Party Mix' and Megamix 1993 together with Martin Boer. They have also written and produced the single Can't You Feel It by BWX in 1997. Ege and Marcel did some remixes for artists like 2nd Nature (the E & M club mix), Twenty 4 Seven, Dolce Vita, Semper, London Beat.

On the 8th March 2002, Henk was murdered in Paris.

Margo released some solo singles (My Heart Goes Up in 2004, All Out Of Love in 2006) under the stage name Keira Green.

Label : Bliss Corporation. Eiffel 65 was formed by Jeffrey Jey (who also wrote the lyrics), Maurizio Lobina and Gabry Ponte.

Maurizio Lobina was a gifted musician and also directed A/R Dept in Bliss Co. Gabriele was a professionnal DJ, he mixed the tracks for the group (under the name of DJ Gabry Bridge) and appeared on the stage.

The project's name was chosen by chance. They entered many words they liked in a software that allowed to create names from words according to the coincidence principle. Eiffel came out, and the number 65 was added by mistake afterwards. The '65' was part of a phone number that was inadvertently scribbled next to the name 'Eiffel' when the text was submitted for printing. 'To find a name of a group it is always a delicate process, in how much it would have to represent the artist or the music'.

Their debut single, Blue (Da Ba Dee), with its vocoder-enhanced vocals, topped the charts in England (where it 2nd best selling single for the year 1999), Germany, France, Canada, Australia, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece, Belgium, Holland, and Ireland, and became a long-lasting number one. In Italy it was ran every 150 seconds according to statistics and went Platinum. In Israel it was number 1 and reached # 6 in the USA.

Once it's heard, it's never forgotten, as its lasting hook, uplifting verses and body-rocking rhythem are pure energy shot straight to the heart. It's inception began with Maurizio's piano riff before Jeffrey wrote the lyrics. 'Maurizio said 'come up with strange lyrics,'' explains Jeffrey. 'I started thinking about the way people are and about lifestyles-the way you buy your house, pick your girlfriend, your job, or the neighborhood in which you live. Then I came up with a color, a color that describes someone's lifestyle.' The text of Blue is based on the persons and as they are made. 'That is, everyone of we has of the ideas, opinions and a style of life that prefers. I identify this with a color, in the case of Blue the crowds are alive, a funny protagonist in a way that it wants to paint with the blue color. Blue like the sky, the sea, the Earth seen from the space and beautiful the Corvettes of years 70.' they explain.

Blue was also released, almost at the same time, by twenty 4 Seven rapper Stay C Paton in the Netherlands.

The debut album of the  band, Europop, contains 13 tracks, all kind of music in the limits of Eiffel 65, and went double Platinum. In Findance Awards '99, Eiffel 65 was chosen for the second best band of the year, the best newcomer band and their song, Blue (Da Ba Dee), was the second best song of the year. The music video of Blue was the second best music video of the year.

'It's important that people get a positive message,' says Jeffrey about Eiffel 65's music. 'We don't throw something down and criticize. We want to think and use our minds to fix things. Things should be built rather than taken apart. There should be something to be happy about.' Blue (Da Ba Dee) is a mix of dance and English pop, a song with a disco beat. 'We're more like an old-fashioned Depeche Mode, a solid structure, but more futuristic,' he says. 'We are electronic, but we look for new sounds like The Chemical Brothers. It's easy to sing to and to dance to.'

Meanwhile, they remixed Kim Lukas' single All I Want and a single of Ann Lee. Their second single, Move Your Body, was also quite successful since it went number one in 7 countries. It reached # 24 in Israel, # 3 in UK. It was followed by Too Much Of Heaven, a more low-tempo track, saying that the people are only thinkin' about money, forgeting about what's  really important : love, friendship. It went # 1 in Israel and # 1 in Italy. Their following release was entitled One Goal (for the Euro 2000 football championship). During the Summer 2000, Eiffel 65 toured in the whole United States, from New York (in May) to San Francisco (in July).

While the latest statistics are saying that Europop sold in over 10.000.000. copies all over the world, they already talk about the second album for winter 2001. It will be entitled Contact. Maurizio explains : "We like this title because it is inspired by the movie, and it talks about the contact with an alien civilization, which is a fascinating matter. We mainly consider Contact as the perfect word to describe the meeting point of our musical experiences and growth…". Jeffrey says : "It makes me think about the forgotten great space…which means that is incredible to understand how small we are compared to the great space that surrounds us and where it ends and where it begins".

Eiffel 65 participated at the Los Angeles Grammy Awards 2001, where they received a nomination as Best Dance Group, together with Baha Man, Jennifer Lopez, Moby and Enrique Iglesias. On the 2nd of May, 2001 they participated in the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, as award presenters. On the 15 of May, 2001, they went to Los Angeles to receive an award from B.M.I. U.S.A. for the hit Blue. This prize was being awarded for the "most played song of U.S. radio during the year 2000".

2 singles have already been released from this forthcoming album. The first one is Back In Time, released in the beginning of 2001, the seoncd one is Lucky (In My Life), to be released after the 20th of May. It has been chosen as a single because of its sunny and summery style. Eiffel 65 will participate at Festivalbar, where they will be introducing the new single. They will be singing 4 times, including the final evening.

The new album, released in 2001, was entitled Contact. Then a new single came out in 2002 : it was called Cosa Resterá (In A Song). The track Elephants In Amsterdam was not released as single, it was going to be included in the album Contact. Bliss Corporation gave it as award to the winners of one online contest on July 19th of 2002.

Eiffel 65's third album was at first planned for October 2002 but it was delayed.

2003 : Eiffel 65 took part to San Remo awards contest with their freshly released single Quelli Che Non Hanno Eta. It was their first "totally italian spoken" song... The record appeared to work good. Meanwhile DJ Gabry Ponte's new single was De Musica Tonante which contained a remix of Geordie which is also a radio single by Londonbridge. He also has been playing a remix of The Man In The Moon in his DJ sets.

2004 : their new single was entitled Tu Credi / Voglia Di Dance All Night.

2006 : After Gabry Ponte left the group, Jeff and Maury created a new project called Bloom 06.

2009 : Bloom 06 contributed to a remake of Alexia's song Il Branco. The new version is in English, entitled "We" is the power. It was included on her new album Ale & C.

2010 : They released Golden mixes of their hit Move Your Body

2012 : Michael Mind Project feat. Dante Thomas' single Feeling So Blue was inspired from Eiffel 65's hit.

2013 : Blue was covered by JLL & Afterman.

2016 : After 12 years of silence, Eiffel 65 released a new single entitled Panico. Blue was covered by Sound Of Legend.

2018 : Bottai recorded a remixes package for Blue.

2020 : DJ Nicolas, NaXwell & DJ Combo in May, Stefy de Cicco in July released a cover of Blue. Its chorus was also used in Nea's single Some Say

2021 : Luis Rodriguez did a remix of Too Much Of Heaven.

He later became MC Mario on the chart smash 'SuperMario Land' by Ambassadors Of Funk.

The producer Claudio Zennaro released under the name of Einstein Dr Deejay many eurotrance hits, the most successful being Automatik Sex and Elektro Woman. 2 very confidential albums were also released.

Apart from his own singles, he also contributed to the first single of the project Mo-Do Eins Zwei Polizei.

It is less well-know that Claudio Zennaro started his carreer much earlier. He even released a first and very rare vinyl album, that he shared with another DJ called Michael DJ Hammer). It was entitled Agressiva and the style (a sort of underground house with a little gothic touch) was very far form the second album. It contained one the of the tracks that he released as single the same year : Klangberg Kartoonia. Strangely, the 2 first singles Disco Loco and You Are My Destiny were not included on the album.

In 1992, Claudio composed a track entitled Für Elise, from the famous Ludwig van Beethoven theme, which appeared on the Italian compilation Tendenthia 5 - La Classica, from a series mixed by Zennaro himself. The compilation also contained some other tracks atrranged by Zennaro's team, under pseudonyms.

After one year of silence, Einstein Dr Deejay was back in 1994 with the big hit Automatik Sex. Jasmine (Moka DJ's friend at this time) was the voice. It peaked #7 in in the maxi sales charts in France, #21 in the club charts.

Federica Micheli was the voice of the follow-up Elektro Woman (and maybe Cosmic Radio Station ?). Elektro Woman was #10 in in the maxi sales charts in France, #15 in the French club charts. Patty Musolino contributed to the vocals of Space Bubble.

1996 was a very rich year for Einstein Dr Deejay, with 3 singles released. Back From Galactica was #39 in the Austrian charts. The last one is the very rare UFO, which seems to have been released in Italy only, as vinyl, and not to have had the success expected.

Several years after, he is ready to climb the international charts once again with his newest single In Japan, an absolutely high-end production, with very particular vocals, trendy sounds and a dreamy refrain. The idea of the track was started with his friend Killer Faber in the studios of Expanded in Bologna, and finished at Dancelab in Austria. This song is a potential top-hit. It was released in Italy under the Hitland label.

More recently, Claudio began a collaboration with Norbert Reichart (Imperio's producer). This is how he took part to the production of Formula 1, the first single of DJ Visage. The studios have been transferred from little to Montecarlo and that's where they make all their productions. They use the most modern mixers, expanders and soft.

Currently Claudio lives in Montecarlo, even if periodically he returns to Udine (his city) in order to be with his daughter Elena (9 years old) and his family. His DJ activity has been practically supplanted by the one of full time-producer. Even if from time to time he makes some appearances in Austria and more rarely in Italy for very particular events.

2000 : At the end of 2002, Einstein Dr Deejay teamed up with the Ramirez Team to release the maxi Infierno under the name Audiowerk Z (Label DFC).

2004 : Einstein Dr Deejay was back with Audiowerk Z for the single Last Train To Amsterdam.

2006 : in September a dance single was released under the name Einstein Doctor Deejay feat Will K, entitled Ce silence me devore. It was composed by Chirico and Facchinetti.

Emel in Arabic means "wish for the future". Emel Aykanat was born June 8th, 1975. Already in the tender days of her childhood her musical talent was so obvious (she played the accordion, keyboards, violin and bass) that her father invested his savings in microphones, tape recorders or drum machines in order to satisfy the artistic restlessness of his offspring, rather then spending them on vacations.

At the age of 17, she toured through Europe as a background singer with a German pop and soul band called Six Was Nine. She took part to eurodance project Nite Squad with rapper Soul SK. She was then hired by DJ Bobo to sing the hits Somebody Dance With Me and Keep On Dancing with him. This is how she took part to DJ Bobo's very first album, but she was not credited for this, so she sued the company and won the trial... DJ Bobo had to re-record both songs with new vocals by Christiane Eiben. In 1993, these "new vocal versions" were released.

Then Emel felt self-assured enough to tackle a solo career. In 1996, she published her first song Can We Talk, causing quite a lasting sensation with it. she singles Slowly, Sunshine and On And On all appeared in the charts of Switzerland and the respective video clips were taken up for rotation by Viva and MTV. These singles were soul and r'n'b oriented... She also visited the B-side of Soul SK's single Son Of A Preacher Man, which was entitled Once Bitten Twice Shy

2001 : she was part of a duet with the Swiss rapper Bligg.

2004 : Emel was the Swiss spokespersons for Eurovision Song Contest 2004. She was featured by P. Moos on a song of his album entitled Gib Nöd Uf.

2005 : Emel did a 1 year and a half tour with the German group Fettes Brot.

2007 : Emel released a new album entitled Komm in mein Leben (meaning : come in my life)

2009 : she was also part of the Swiss jury in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009.

2011 : Emel entered the Swiss selection for 2012's Eurovision Song Contest with a song entitled She. She performed it on 10 December 2011.

2012 : she released a single called Spy On Your Phone and a new album entitled She.

Emjay was born Marie Josée Riel on December 9th 1974 in Ottawa, Canada. Her musical history began at age 12, with a 7 year stint singing as a backup vocalist with a local Ottawa band. She devoted virtually all her spare time practising the many different choreographs, along with gruelling aerobic training to ensure she was in top shape for her live performances of non-stop singing and dancing. Even at that young age, Emjay was willing to work hard and do what it took to attain her dream; to one day becomes a 'lead singer'. The effort was well recognised; the band won 8 American Guild Awards. Still with the band in 1993, Emjay won first place as 'Pop Solo Artist' at the American Guild Awards.

Emjay did background vocals on Memories, a track on Capital Sound's first album.

In 1994 she recorded a solo project, resulting in her first recording contract, and the song Sound Of My Heartbeat, which charted at #7 on The Record's Dance chart. More singles followed, Fascinated rose to #5 (and was covered by a project named Microcosmica, with raps added), Flying To The Moon to #3 and, of course, her biggest success yet, In Your Arms. In July 1995 she performeds at the Théâtre du Forum in Montreal alongside Bananarama, Whigfield, Los Del Mar, and BKS (among others), in front of a crowd of 5 000 persons.

August of 1995 saw the release of Emjay's first album, In Your Arms. Even then she sizzled with Diva authority. This debut earned her 5 hitsingles, along with many opportunities, including the honour of a nomination for Best Dance Recording at the 26th Annual Juno Awards (29thJanuary 1997), and a MuchMusic Video Award. She was also spotlighted by several major Television and Radio shows, and appeared at a number of major concert events, including MuchMusic's Winterlude, Toronto Radio station Energy 108's 'Energy Rush', and many more.

On the 24th of August  1996 Emjay performed live at the Kingswood Music Theatre at Canada's Wonderland in Toronto in front of a crowd estimated at around 15 000. The event, sponsored by Energy 108, also included artists Coolio, BKS,  Ruffneck, Temperence, and many other artists. On the 1st of December 1996 she was nominated on The First Annual Cyberspace Euro-Energy Awards. On 22nd February 1997 she performed for the second year on Parliament Hill at Ottawa's Winterlude. The event was broadcast live across the nation on television stations CityTv, Much Music and Musique Plus. Then on 9th March 1997 she was at the 26th Annual Juno Awards at the Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario.

Emjay is an overall talent. She is a stunning young woman whose vocals are several notches above the competition. Her performances have a winning memorable quality ; smooth and assured, attributes that only come with experience. She is blond-haired with brown eyes. She has a big sister called Julie and a kid brother called Patrick. Her hobbies are swimming, in-line skating, working, reading, painting and dancing. She recognizes one default : she is not a morning person. Moreover she loves to shop, buy shoes, anything and everything that has a sale tag on it even if she doesn't need it. She believes in angels, in destiny, and in faith, and hates jealousy, competition and selfishness. She loves performing live in front of her fans. She has two tattoos : one of an angel, the other is a heart with a music note and two piercings: nose and navel. She is still a single person (in spite of rumors about a romance with a member of the Backstreet Boys). Before starting a musical carreer, she used to be a babysitter for 5 years, then a mail clerk for the Canadian government and an operator for Bell Mobility paging service.

When Emjay's not performing, she writes songs with her two best friends, Dan and Jean and spends time in the studio and travels to Montreal to rehearse the many choreographies with her dancers... Emjay is also taking singing lessons to keep her vocal cords in top notch. She is also spending a lot of time on the phone to personally keep in touch with her many business associates to ensure everything remains on the right track.

November 1997 marked the signing of Emjay to Tycoon Records : she had recorded her first new single We All Need Love, and was working on the full album, first scheduled for release in mid-1998. She has been chosen as the opening act for The Backstreet Boys' Canadian Tour, starting in Halifax on December 27th and ending in Québec City on January 7th. January 4th 1998 was the first filming date for Emjay's new music video. On 27th June 1998 she performed with various artists in front of 70,000 people in Little Italy in Toronto for the WorldCup Soccer game.

Afterwards, everything became very quiet around her... She recorded 2 tracks in French : Le blues du chardo et Jusqu'au bout du monde, for a TV series called "les Francoeurs". These tracks were absolutely not eurodance.

2005 : a single was released under the name Emjay. But it was only the scene name of Maarten Ossewaarde, a DJ from Amsterdam. Entitled Make Some Noise, it was chosen as anthem for the Global gathering Festival '05 and it entered the UK top 40 dance at #25. No relationship with the real Emjay.

2006 : Emjay performed live in Toronto on the 17th May, she sung all her former hits.

2010 : some previously unreleased tracks were published on Youtube : It Doesn't really Matter Now and the balled Who Gave Up For Love.

2019 : Emjay was back in the music business. After a remix of Flying To The Moon by Phoenix Lord, she was featured on ABA/Z's single Living My Life.

2020 : She did vocals on Phoenix Lord and Saggian on single As Above So Below. Then her new single was out : a cover of The Supremes' You Keep Me Hanging On

Under the name Rage they released their first single in the end of 1992 : Run To You (a cover of a Bryan Adams song) was a big hit in Germany, reaching # 71 in the Best of Charts, and peaked at # 14 between January and February 1993. Naktyje (1995)

Energy 4U is a Eurodance project from Lithuania under M.E.G.A. Records, produced by Ramūnas Bradūnas, who was also the singer and producer of the projects Magic Funnies and Juodos Rožės. They consisted of a male rapper (presumably Ramūnas Bradūnas) and a female vocalist, whose name is unknown. In June 1995, Energy 4U released a song called Naktyje to the compilation Bumas under M.E.G.A. Records. In July 1995, they released their first and only album, Naktyje, on cassette only. Very little information about Energy 4U was known at the time, with no promotion being done outside of the compilation release and no known information released to magazines at the time, according to collectors from this era.

The album is believed to be Energy 4U's last release. On July 11, 2004, producer Ramūnas Bradūnas died in a traffic accident at the age of 29.

Hold On To Your Dream (25th Mar 1998)
Listen To Your Heart (14th Sep 1998)

Label : Intercord. Enflame was a solo-project from Nancy Rentzsch.

The first single was entitled Hold On To Your Dreams, sung with Trixi Delgado from Masterboy. It was composed by DJ Bobo, Nancy herself and Axel Breitung. The second single, Listen To Your Heart, was composed and written by Nancy and Gordon Lighthouse. It was a duet with the vocalist Chrissi, aka Christiane Eiben, who took part to many Axel Breitung projects.

She gave up the project after 2 singles. The reason was she worked so hard for DJ Bobo as a background-singer, dancer and costume-designer (and later as a wife) so she had not the time for another job.

Sadeness (Part II) (Oct 2016)

Enigma is a German electronic / new age project formed in 1990 by composer and producer Michael Cretu aka Curly M.C., David Fairstein and Frank Peterson. Sandra often provided vocals.

Their first single Sadeness was a worldwide hit, topping charts everywhere, especially in Germany and France. It created controversy, firstly due to the mix of religious and sexual elements. And later, because the gregorian vocals were used without permission; a lawsuit followed in 1994. Debut album, MCMXC a.D. received over 57 platinum awards worldwide.

In 1993, Michael Cretu was given an offer by producers to compose the full soundtrack of the motion picture Sliver, but he was unable to accept the offer. Instead, he came up with Carly's Song (Age of Loneliness in the album and video releases) and Carly's Loneliness, which were used in the movie and credited in the motion picture soundtrack as well. Sophomore album Cross of Changes was released and it it was also very succesful. Return to Innocence became one of the project's most popular international singles. It sampled vocals of a duet of Amis people singers without their permission. In 1994, song was covered by eurodance projects The Corporation and LaNotte.

1996 saw the release of third album Le Roi est mort, vive le Roi! (French for "The King is dead. Long live the King!").

2000 : new album The Screen Behind the Mirror was out. Gravity of Love and Push the Limits were released as singles from the album.

2001 : a new single called Turn Around was released, together with best of compilations Love Sensuality Devotion: The Greatest Hits and Love Sensuality Devotion: The Remix Collection

2003 : after 2 years of silence, Enigma released their new album Voyageur, showing a major saw a change of direction which surprised the fans.

2005 : a special limited-edition album called Fifteen Years was released, to commemorate the fifteen years of Enigma

2006 : 6th studio album was out on September 26th. It was entitled A Posteriori.

2008 : on September 19th, Enigma's seventh album Seven Lives Many Faces was released worldwide.

2009 : in November, Enigma released a new best of CD compilation : The Platinum Collection. The first CD featured Enigma hits, the second contained remixes and the third was a collection of "lost tracks", musical experiments which never were finalized and released previously. Worldwide release followed in 2010.

2010 : on October 5th, the "Enigma's Social Song" project was launched to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the first album MCMXC a.D.. Enigma fans were asked to submit vocals for a new Enigma song. The final mix of the single named MMX The Social Song was released on 15 December.

2015 : a new album is planned.

Linda Estelle (Linda Roza Blokland), the resonant voice of T-Spoon, was born in Arnhem in the Netherlands on the 23rd of January 1974.She has two sisters, Wendy and Sara. At the age of 16 she began singing in studios. She is blond-haired and 1,70 m tall.

After finishing high school (HAVO) she was employed in an art gallery, while occupying her spare time singing radio jingles and doing vocal studio sessions. Her interest in singing got started at a very young age and it only grew bigger and bigger. She eventually went on to working together with the boys of Arnhemsgewijs and Replay, both two very succesfull Dutch R&B groups. There was one thing that she was certain of and that was that she wanted to end up in the entertainment business.

At the end of 1995 she bumped into Remy de Groot, the manager of T-Spoon. She auditioned for T-Spoon and they must have liked what they saw, because Linda was chosen as their new vocalist. She made her debut on T-Spoon's fifth single See The Light. The song originally didn't contain her voice but only vocals from Shamrock and guest vocalist Johnny Kelvin. Linda's vocals were added on the single-release. Linda could be heard on every song of the album Lexicon of Melody.

Linda admires Withney Houston, Michael Jackson, Taylor Dayne, the Prince. She's also impressed by singers such as Bjork and Alanis Morisette. This shows her broad interest in music.

Linda also enjoys going out to nightclubs. 'The Luxor' in Arnhem and Amsterdam's 'iT' and 'Challenge' night spots are her favourite nocturnal destinations. She also admits to being a bit of a filmbuff. Her favorite actor is Harrison Ford. 'The Mask', 'Single White Female' and 'The Fugitive' are among the films she prefers. Being of Surinam descent it's not a surprise to learn that she loves Surinamian and spicy Mexican food.

She loves animals and has two cats and two dogs at home. Linda is very fond of winter vacations although she freely admits that skiing is not one of her strong points. She still lives in Arnhem with the love of her life, her husband Edmond. And she hopes to stay part of T-Spoon for a very very long time...

2002 : Linda joined Des'ray (of 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor) and Anita Doth (former vocalist of 2 Unlimited) for a a one time project called Divas Of Dance. They will do remakes of old songs, but they will also do hitmixes of their greatest hits in their shows.

2010 : Linda and Shamrock are touring as T-spoon reloaded.

Kim Esty was born in Toronto. She is the younger of two children born to European parents (Austrian & German). When she was a child, she learned how to play the accordion. Later, during her high school years, she entered numerous contests and productions with the visions of being a singer and a songwriter.

At the age of 16 Kim joined a cover band which performed at high schools and other venues. After 2 years, she left the band to begin creating her own music style with the help of a vocal coach. She composed and recorded several songs. She released Your Love Feels Like Dynamite in 1988. Vince Degiorgio signed her to his own label in 1989. She started working with Barry Harris (Kon Kan - I Beg Your Pardon, Outta Control), Marco Lucianni (Dirty Dancing soundtrack), toured with Kon Kan in the US, and South East, Asia, Singapore, Indonesia, Taipei, Korea, Malaysia.

During the summer of 1993, her third solo single Summer In The Streets that she co-produced with Massimo "Mo" Rosati scored a hit in clubs and pop/dance radio stations. It went #1 in Toronto's Energy 108 charts and stayed there during 5 weeks.

Follow-up was Funky Little Beat, produced by Kim Esty and Barry Harris. Then a '95 version of Summer In The Streets was released. In 1995, came eurodance single I Dream Of Happiness

She also recorded song Two of Hearts, a collaboration with producer Vince "Smash" Digiorgio, a cover of Stacey Q hit. A the single version of this track was planned for release in February 1997 in Germany.

In 1998 she contributed to the Boomtang Boys's single Squeeze Toy. They had remixed the 95 version of her single Summer In The Streets. She also did vocals on 2 other of their album's tracks : Dancin' With Myself and Pictures and joined them on their 1999 Canadian tour.

1999 : following the phenomenal success of Squeezetoy, Kim released Yummy, Yummy, Yummy on the YTV compilation with friend and producer Colin McMillan. She opened up her Squeezetoy Studios. Kim Esty created a new project : the Kartoon Kids, a group of hip and youthful characters and their pets with catchy lyrics and upbeat music geared to 2-7 year olds. She also did vocals for the project.

2003 : A best of entitled Variety Show was released.

2009 : she released The Best Of Kim Esty as well as a brand new single He Doesn't Like Me.

2010 : Kim released the single Gilligan.

Producer/ writer: Tetsuya Komuro and FKB (Phil France, Tony King and Bozidar Ristic) - Mixed by FKB
Label Avex UK

The members of the project are 2 men and one girl. The sound is Eurodance, in a style that reminds of Cappella.

The very first singles were released only in Japan. Scan Me was written by Kenzo/Tetsuya Komuro, mixed by Pete & Steve Hammond. Then came Move Your Body Baby, featuring Final Touch, and the same mixers team, released in 1994 too.

The single that started it all in UK was entitled Move Your Body. Released in 1995, it was # 21 in Israel and # 24 in UK. It included a Boyz With Pride 12" Mix, a FKB 12" Mix, and a Hyper Go Go 12" Mix. Then came a remixes CD with a Boyz With Pride mix, a Happy Clappers Club Mix, a Tees Inter Acid Mix (by Todd Terry), and a CheckPoint Charlie mix. It was released under Avex UK.

The follow-up single was Dive To Paradise, released the same year. The female vocalist was called Silvia. The CD single featured a FKB 7" Edit, a FKB 12" Mix, a Boyz With Pride 12" Mix and an Anthology Mix.

It's On You was released in 1995 too, under Avex UK. It was written by Tetsuya Komuro and Kenzo. 5 mixes were included on the CD single : a FKB Edit, a Jon Of The Pleased Wimmin Club Mix, a Hyper Go Go 12" Mix, a Felix Da Housecat Mix and a FKB 12" Mix.

Almost at the same time, a single entitled Let's Go was out in Japan exclusively. It was released under the label Cuting Edge, with 4 different mixes : a Radio Mix, a FKB Club Mix, an Original TV Mix and an Instrumental version.

Eurogroove released their first album In The Groove in 1995. It featured 11 tracks, including all the past and forthcoming singles. Many artists took part to the album : Danii Minogue (on Rescue Me and Boogie Woogie), Dominique (on Don't Keep Me Hangin' On and Scan Me), Einstein (on Scan Me), Final Touch (on Move Your Body Baby and Be Happy), and Silvia (on Dive To Paradise).

At the same time, another album was released in Japan, with a totally different tracklisting and even unreleased tracks. There was also an album entitled Best Of Eurogroove, containing 19 tracks : mainly tracks by Eurogroove but also by other projects such as Clock, N-trance, Newton and Bananarama. There was also a bonus track called Wishing You Were There.

The follow-up Rescue Me featured the voice of Danii Minogue. It was written by Danii Minogue, Jeoy Johnson and Dee Wright, mixed by Pete Hammond & Steve Hammond, released in Japan and in UK as well. The CD single included not less than 6 mixes : starting with a FKB Radio Edit, then a Love To Infinity Radio Edit, a Love To Infinity 12" Mix, a Clock 12" Mix, a FKB Extended Mix, and a Shades All Day Mix.

Then came Boogie Woogie, once again with guest vocals of Danii Minogue. This time, it was released only in Japan. The follow-up was entitled Take Me Up (with Don't Keep Me Hangin On as B-side) but it never went further than a promo vinyl.

Evan (real name Pontus Hagberg) was born in Stockholm and grew up in Bollnäs, but is now back in to Solna. As models of music, he has Jim Steinman, Freddie Mercury, Dennis Roussos, Vangelis and Michael Jackson. The 1980's has been an inspire for Under Your Spell and it has taken several years between strophe and refrain for Evan.

Evan was discovered when people on the radio station RIX FM found a demo-CD and realized that they was listening to "perfect" music. The first single Everything I'd Ever Do was released in 2003.

Many of Evan's songs has a sense of movie with undertone of longing and tragedy. On his CDs it's often Evan himself doing all work: he is writning, singing, recordning, mixing and producing.

Evan is already working on his second album

2006 : Evan competed on Saturday 11th March in part 4 of the Swedish Melody Grand Prix in Gothenburg with his song Under Your Spell. He was not selected to represent Sweden at the Eurovision contest.

Go To The Top (2001)

Music has always Barbara's passion. Born in the New Jersey (USA), she moved with her family to Florida and started singing gospel and classical. She came to Europe where she started a modelling carreer, then she went back to her first love : music.

In 1993, Barbara Evans contributed to Wildside's single My Body and to B&W's single Hello (duet with Cristina Dori) (label : 21st Century records).

She appeared in a few soaps, such as Miami Vice and As the World Turns. She took part to San Remo festival in 1997 and 1998, and collaborated with various Italian artists such as Paolo Conte, Elisa, Zucchero, Andrea Mingardi, but also international artists such as Mariah Carey and the Blues Brothers. She also recorded jingles for the Fiat Stilo and Citroen.

Teaching herself to play piano and guitar is a real challenge but she has already composed fifteen songs that are now being arranged. She did a cover of Barry White & Love Unlimited's 70's hit I'm So Glad That I'm A Woman and is completing her summer tour promoting the track.

She is described as "solar and gifted with a definite and limpid voice". Her live performances are exuberant and energetic. She always manages to capture and involve her audience, which is typical of someone who is determined and positive.

2001 : Barbara released a solo single entiteld Go To The Top.

2005 : she co-wrote with F. Contadini and recorded the single Saved By The Music under the name House Groovers feat. J&B.

She had also written 2 pop ballads this year. Her first release will be a song called I Can Wait that she had originally written for her 13 year old niece Tiffany Evans who signed with Columbia earlier this year. The track was not accepted by the record company for this young star so Barbara decided to record it herself. It was produced by singer/songwriter/producer Jarvis Evans.

In November Barbara appeared at The "PIPER's Pics" TV. This time she was as nervous as ever singing her very own song I Can Wait in front of a live audience for the very first time. She was called back for the November 26th episode.

2006 : Barbara is performing as a lead vocalist with City Lights, one of the most successful South Florida bands. She's co-producing Eniam, a promising rapper from Miami. She is also collaborating with rapper and producer Traffic from Nashville. Their first RnB ballad has been recorded. She plans to establish her very own record label soon. She also gave her voice for a beer commercial on National TV stations in Italy.

2009 : in May, she contributed to Amadeus Project - Love Is Like The Sun.

Prisoner Of Love (17th Mar 1998)

Come Into My Life (2003)
Strength To Carry On (Come Into My Life) (Nov 2003)

Tania Evans was born in Edmonton (North of London) of born of Jamaican parents in 1967. Her father died as she was only 3. She is 1,73 m tall and weights 56 kg. Her parents are named Christian and Sharon. She has 3 sisters, one of them called Pauline and a brother named Paul. She began to work as a standardist, then in a McDonald's during 2 years. She followed puericulture courses and loves children. She describes herself as energetic, romantic, with a very artistic temper, sensitive, loyal and generous, but she admits not to be very patient. She believes in God. Cats fascinate her. She likes travelling in order to dicover new cultures and new meals. She likes swimming, walking and painting.

Tania had founded her own band back in 1989 (Empire State), she released a cover of a song initially sung by Diana Ross (her idol) which failed, and also sang backgrounds with Neneh Cherry, Osibisa, James Taylor Quartet and others. Torsten Fenslau noticed her as she was singing in a discotheque in London. That's how she became the female vocalist of  Culture Beat from 1993 to 1997, afterwards she tried again to succeed in a solo career. "I felt it was time to move on and I had been with them for almost 4 years and I also needed to express different sides of my music and ability", she remembers.

In 1998, she released a solo single, entitled Prisoner Of Love that she composed herself with Peter Ries. The single included a remix by Hendrick Schimann and Mike Romeo. It was released by Columbia/Sony Music. It reached top 10 of USA Billboard Club Dance chart. She also appeared on the Kosmonova's single Singing In My Mind.

She lives in London, near Kensington.

More recently she recorded some tracks such as Back In My Life (for the German compnay Superflaush), and 2 others very rare : Where Does The World Go and Tango Magic.

She recorded a few tracks with Simon Westbrook (who composed for Gina G and Diana Ross among others). In 2000 she took Olu Yenigba as agent, in London (he also manages the carreers of Shahin Badar and Colin Daley).

In 2002, Tania released a house-style single entitled The Strength To Carry On (Come Into My Life) under Risque label (Capp Company), a song she had written in 1995. An unreleased mix, 2 Step mix, is available on Capp Company website.

2003 : her new single was released as vinyl. It was produced by Doug Laurent.Tania played the role of Aretha Franklin in the musical The Black Heroes Hall of Fame.

2004 : in June, she sung during 6 monthes at the Sheraton Hotel in Bangkok (her repertoire only included reggae, soul and rock, unfortunately for eurodance fans).

2008 : she still lives in London. In an interview, Tania talked about the other jobs she did besides singing : she is into property development and dental nursing. "I spent all of my 20s doing music intensely so I have had a nice long rest and realize that it is my main path and calling in life.", she explained. But she is not against doing the music full time again. "I have been thinking a lot about the fans and my music so I will take a lot more control when I have the entire infrastructure in place and will sell it myself on the net."

In November, she was said to be recording some new music stuff in various styles (soul, blues but also dance music). She was planning a tour across Europe and Russia for 2009 to perform the Culture Beat classics and of course some newer songs.

Tania tours in clubs and 90s festivals with a rapper called Wylly Wyll, singing Culture Beat's hits.

Funny Bunny Boy (1998)
Blue Sky Black (1999)
Play With Me (1999)
Moviestar (1999)

Produced by Cool Music Sweden

Evelyn (real name : Eva Lindgren) is from Sweden, she lives in Stockholm and she was 24 years old when she started her musical carreer. She worked as a fashion model in Barcelona and has been voted 'Miss Täby' in her homeland. Her musical background ranges from choir singing in school to several live solo performances in the U.S.A where she lived for one year.

Her debut single was Funny Bunny Boy, released in the autumn 98. It has been produced by Johnny Jam and Delgado who were responsible for the megahit Barbie Girl by the Danish band Aqua. The single didn't do as well as it was hoped for in the charts, but it was played quite often in the clubs. The next thing we heard from her was a song called Blue Sky Black, a great song which is not released as a single, but was included on a soundtrack to a swedish film called 'Fucking Åmål'. Her second official single was called Play With Me. The song was about a dildo... and one was offered to the first buyers of the CD-single. The whole thing made some people furious, especially in Norway...

Evelyn's debut CD album, called Partystarter was finally complete, after many months of hard work. Almost all of the songs had been written by Evelyn, together with her producer Mats From. Here is how Evelyn comments the songs of her debut album :

"Everybody : this song starts the album, just because this was the first song that Roy, the label's director, heard. The chorus was very hard, I had to do it again a thousand times (she laughs) ! It gave a partystarter feeling.

Funny Bunny Boy : a song full of humor ! During the recordings, people asked me what my mood was. I replied : "It's Funny Bunny". Mats told me "What a great title !". As soon as I got home, I started working on this idea. 2 months later, the song was completed and it really sounded great !! (This song became her first hit single in Europe)

Movie Star : it's a fast-paced dance track ! The original was a song recorded by Harpo and released in 1976. I just love this pop cover.

Blue Sky Black : the writing and recording of this track were completed in only 2 days, in spite of what this song became my favourite. She was the last song to be added to the album.

Get It Up : the elegant chorus id not fit well, we had a lot of troubles. We finished the recorded after 2 weeks

I Belong To You : it was quite a bothering song at the beginning, since lyrics and melody did not fit together. However, we wanted to complete it, and finally we obtained a Madonna-like chorus. The acoustic guitar sound and the wind noise provide a nice sensation, which makes of this song one of my favourites.

Play With Me : if I listen to this song again, I understand with how much pleasure I finished it. Lyrics are about friendship. One may say that this song personifies the album. I recommend it for happy evenings.

All That I Need : this song changed a lot since the first demo version. Even if it was very powerful at the beginning, it finally became very groovy because of the accumulation of voices. This one must be played very loud !

Give Me Some Time : this is the very first song we wrote together ! It's a special song, not only because it was the first milestone of the album, but also the beginning of our friendship. It was finished faster than expected.

Let's Forget About Time : the lyrics were not written yet, I always hummed it Even if this one was quickly finished, I like the sound and the lyrics.

Be My Baby : Daniel found this song among his oldies as he was working as a DJ. Meanwhile, Mats who was completely drunk shouted : "This will be the next song we'll do !". That's the reason why we did this cover. Anyway, this song had a great feeling, hasn't it ? Otherwise, I wouldn't have finished it...

2000 : Evelyn has just  completed another hit-packed album titled I Wanna Dance. Aiming for the charts with songs like Woodpeckers from space, My Lover, Hotpants, Sam Fox And An Orange Rescue, Space Boogie, and of course I Wanna Dance. Just like Partystarter, Evelyn had written most of the songs on the new album.

2001 : Evelyn started working on her third album. The release was planned for the Summer but nothing ever came.

I Believe (1994)

Runaway (25th Aug 1995)
Arms Of Loren (10th Jun 1996)
Missing You (20th Nov 1997)
Arms Of Loren 2001 (2001)

E'voke featured 2 female vocalists called Marlaine Gordon and Kerry Potter. Kerry and Marlaine attended the Sylvia Young stage school and upon graduating starred in the BBC sitcom "Us girls". Marlaine also played the role of Lydia in Eastenders between 1994 and 1995.

In 1994, they released their first single on the FFRR label, a dance cover version of Stevie Wonder's I Believe (with the B-side It's my life). Although it was not a commercial hit (only reaching number 79 in the charts), it did fairly well in the clubs. The track was produced by Barry Leng and Duncan Hannant who went on to write E'voke's original hits. It's My Life reached # 4 in Israel.

In late 1995, E'voke released the track Runaway under label Ffrreedom/FFRR Records. Single reached #30 in November. The lead remix of the track sounded quite similar in sound to N-Trance's Set you free that had been a massive hit earlier in the year.

In 1996, E'voke scored their biggest commercial and club hit with Arms of Loren. Two mixes, vastly different in sound were created. The Steinway mix, which is still played today in clubs, being the more commercial and the Nip n Tuck mix being the main radio edit. Once again, the song was released on a different record label- Manifesto Records. The song was widely played in clubs and the radio and was touted to become a major hit upon it's release. It reached #25 in August 1996 in the UK, and hit #1 in the UK dance chart.

All was quiet until early 1998 when a new E'voke record was promoted (this time on Pulse8 Records), a dance cover of John Waite's Missing you produced by Barry Leng. However, due to the closing of Pulse8 Records, the song was delayed. Meanwhile, Marlaine Gordon was featured on The Whitehouse's single Ain't No Mountain High Enough. Missing you was eventually picked up by yet another record label : Eternal Records/WEA. However, there proved further delays and despite a "Christmas Version" being commissioned, the track was not released until early 1999. The track was not a hit, missing the Top 100 altogether and E'voke split up.

2000 : Marlaine released the solo single Step Away.

2001 : the head of Inferno Records, who had always believed that Arms of Loren had never reached its real potential, played the track down the phone to DJ Ferry Corsten. Corsten liked the track so much that he created his own remix to the track, basing it on the Nip N Tuck mix from the 1996 release. The remix was picked up by Inferno Records : this was the 6th record label E'voke were signed to. It and planned for release in early 2002. There was a lot of excitement regarding the re-release which had proved to be a big success in clubs. A promo video was shot (which did not feature Marlaine nor Kerry). There was even talk of the girls reuniting to promote the track, although this never happened. However despite all the hype, the track failed to set the charts alight, charting at #31 in January 2002 - six places lower than the original version.

Since then, Kerry has appeared in bit parts in Casualty and the League of Gentlemen's Apocalypse.

2011 : producer Duncan Hannant remixed the single Arms Of Loren.

Shake Your Body (1993)
Save Me (1993)

The project is made of Luca Galati, Jimmy Nicoli and Mario Borgonovo. The female vocalists were Julia and Katia. The single Shake Your Body was produced by DV Factory, recorded at AGE studios, mixed and arranged by J. Nicoli and L. Galiati.

The two first singles Before The Night and Shake Your Body became big club hits. Welcome To The Dance unfortunately hadn't the same chance. This was the beginning of the end : the two next singles, Save Me and The Sound (which melody was inspired from Corona's hit The Rhythm Of The Night, and lyrics taken from Class Action Weekend, already covered by various projects such as The Todd Terry Project - Weekend in 1988, Amy-Lou Charles - Weekend and Period - The Heart Break in 1992 ) almost passed unnoticed... Then came Step By Step, a very rare single.

Dream Of The Night was featured on the Japanese compilation Dancemania vol 3. The last single Dunga! Dunga! had been compared to Me & My's Dub I Dub.
