Dancing Stars - Nova TV (Bulgaria)

Gloria is among the 14 candidates on third edition of Dancing Stars, with as partner dancer Svetlio Dimitrov. First episode aired on March 11th. Jury was made of professional dancers Kaloyan Ivanov, Trendafil Sarmov-Phil, Svetlin Dimitrov and Kathy Draganova.
Among the candidates : actresses Elen Koleva and Latinka Petrova, world boxing champion Detelin Dalakliev.
On first episode they performed a foxtrot and received one of the highest ratings from the jury

On 15th April, they did a tango & cha-cha Fusion on It's Raining Men
On 22th April, they performed a contempary dance on ColdPlay's Fix You

On 13th May, they danced a salsa
On 20th May, theme was The Most Important Year in Your Life. Gloria sung and danced on a cover of Christina Aguilera's Express (Burlesque).

Linda Mertens is among the candidates to take part to real-TV show Sterren op de Dansvloer. She teams with Dutch model and dancer Aerjen Mooijweer (who, apart from his regular contributions to the show, including a participation with Elke Penxten in 2010, also appeared on Ned1's show Strictly Come Dancing). First episode aired on VTM on Friday November 9th.
09/11 : she danced a cha cha cha on Loreen's Euphoria. She and Aerjen ended #1 with 28 points.
16/11 : she and Aerjen danced a quickstep on Vaya Con Dios Ney Na Na Na and they were awarded 23 points by the jury.
23/11 : they danced a paso doble on Rihanna's Where Have You Been and were awarded 29 points.
30/11 : they danced a Slowfox on Henry Mancini's Pink Panther Theme and were awarded 25 points.
07/12 : they danced a samba on Gia Farrel's Hit Me Up and were awarded 31 points.
14/12 : they danced a rumba on Volumia!'s Afscheid, a song chosen as an homage to Linda's deceased brother, and were awarded 27 points.

First casting took place in Hamburg on May 6th.
In the show's second phase (bootcamps), candidates are allocated in categories. Each of the judges will be the mentor of one category. HP became mentor for female solo singers 16-24 ("I am the chicks terminator, so I want the chicks" he explained with a smile).
One candidate from his team, Melissa Heiduk, ended #2 at the finals. Winner of the season was a band (Mrs. Greenbird).

Starting from January 28th, second season saw DJ Bobo back as jury member, along with Christa Rigozzi and Roman Kilchsperger. The show aired on saturdays and wednesdays around 20:05, and was hosted by Anna Maier and Sven Epiney.
Finale aired on March 17th 2012 live from Kreuzlingen. It was won by Eliane Müller, 21 , from Luzern, with her cover version of Metallica Nothing Else Matters.

On February 2nd she compteted against Anita Heilker (former member of girls band Dolly Dots in the 80s). After a song battle (where she sung River Deep, Mountain High), she won the round 99 votes against 2.
On February 23rd, she competed against Dewi Pechler with a cover of Beyonce Halo, and won the round 72 against 29.
On March 8th, Des'ray won the 3rd round again Lilian Day Jackson (she sung All By Myself), becoming the last candidate remaining in the professionals category.
On March 15th, she competed agains Jojse & Angela, singing Katy Perry's - Firework, and was unfortunately eliminated (she lost 40 to 61).
L'isola dei famosi - Rai 2 (Italy)

Den Harrow was among the contestants (VIPS, anonymous and sons of VIPs) of 9th edition of L'isola dei famosi, Italian equivalent of Survivor. For this edition, 13 candidates were selected among competitors of the previous edition (called "eroi", meaning "heroes") and 7 new candidates (called "Eletti", meaning "elected"). Den's wife was among the guests on 25/01, 02/02 and 09/02.
Nominated during the show of February 2nd, he announced on February 13th that he quitted the show because of health problems.
Show screened on Rai Due and took place in Cayo Cochinos (Honduras). It was hosted by Nicola Savino and Vladimir Luxuria.

During the first battle, she sung versus Alicia Emmi Berg a cover of Rihanna's song Only Girl In The World.
On 23rd December, she was selected for the live shows.
On the live shows series on January 6th, Kim sung her version of Ace Of Base's All That She Wants and passed the selection for the next shows (by coach's vote).
On January 20th, she sung her version of the Fugees' Killing Me Softly and once again was selected for the next episode, this time by public vote.

Third season started at the end of August 2007. This season one could follow Regi in Supersized II concerts preparations, but also Milk Inc performing for the very first time at the Gentse Feesten. The camera crew followed Regi and Linda to Norway and even to Chicago.

Gloria was one of the 4 jury members of first season (along with singers Yordanka Hristova, Slavi Trifonov and Donnie). Castings were held in the 5 biggest cities in Bulgaria : Rousse, Varna, Bourgas, Plovdiv and Sofia between January and February. Auditioners had to be Bulgarian citizens aged between 13 and 28. After 3 more days of theatre castings, the best 40 candidates performed each evening during 1 week (March 12th to 19th) in 5 groups of 8 singers with the two top vote getters advancing to the finals. Winner was Nevena Tsoneva.

Den Harrow competed in 4th edition of L'isola dei famosi, Italian equivalent of Celebrity Survivor or Celebrity Island. VIPs have to survive on a desert island without any facility. Once a week, a competition determines the leader of the week, who gains immunity against elimination in the next episode. Each week, during the live show, nominees are gradually eliminated.
First episode aired on September 13th. Show was hosted by Simona Ventura.
Den was first a reserve candidate, he entered the competition on week 3, replacing Domiziana Giordano. He was nominted once, and left on October 13th, after 1 month and 10 days

Filip Nikolic, real-TV star Loana, aristocrat Charles-Philippe d'Orléans, road racing cyclist Richard Virenque, TV host Delphine de Turckheim, model Satya Oblet and alpine skier Marielle Goitschel. They competed for 50 000 € for the benefit of a welfare association (Indra's assocation was Louis Carlesimo, to help ill children).
Indra was eliminated on 12th day. Winner of the game was Richard Virenque.
Episodes were shot in Teresópolis (Brazil), hosted by Jean-Pierre Foucault and Christophe Dechavanne, produced by Endemol France, aired on TF1.

Third season began in Autumn 2005. That year, Dieter Bohlen, who was the only original jury member, did not produce any of the songs, nor for the collective album, nor for the winner. He was joined by former manager Heinz Henn and by music producer Sylvia Kollek.

Rebeca took part 4th edition of Survivor show Aventura en África. She was member of the Masai (VIP team, along with singers María Jiménez and Pedro Marín, boxer Javier Castillejo, torero Víctor Janeiro, TV host María Abradelo, basket player Sergio Pazos, and Sabrina Mahi) against the Samburu (anonymous team).
She got first nominated on January25th. After being saved on February 27th, she was finally eliminated.


Comeback, die Grosse Chance - Pro7 (Germany)

Along with 9 other candidates such as The Weather Girls, C.C. Catch, Coolio, Chris Norman and Jürgen Drews, Haddaway competed to win the possibility to record a new single. Every show saw him performing a cover in a style very far from eurodance (All night long, I believe I can fly, It's my life...). He was unfortunately eliminated before the finale.
The episodes, produced by Constantin TV, aired between February and March 2004 on Pro7. Jury members were Harold Faltermeyer and Anastasia, plus one different guest judge each week.
A double CD compilation of the songs sung by the candidates during the show was released in March.

The series aired between February and March 2004 on Pro7. The show was hosted by popular TV presenter Arabella Kiesbauer. It was also broadcasted in Switzerland & Austria.

Jacynthe starred, along with TV producer and singer Anne-Marie Losique and Guidoune, a 3 month old Jack-Russel terrier, in the Québécois version of the reality show The Simple Life, called La Vie Rurale. According to rumors, Jacynthe had never seen a hen for real before and feared to be bitten by cows...
8 episodes were shot in a cow farm in Cantons-de-l'Est/Estrie. The show was broadcasted on MusiMax on Tuesdays at 22:00.

Even if he was criticized for his controversial and insulting comments during season 1, Dieter Bohlen was again among the jury members for the second DSDS edition. He wrote 2 songs for the finalists' album (among them, the dance track A Young Generation). Winner Elli Erl agreed to release the Bohlen-produced coronation song This Is My Life in a remixed edition, but she refused collaborating with him on her debut album In My Dreams due to musical differences.
Fame Academy - RTL II (Germany)

DJ Bobo was among the coaches of the only German edition of the casting show. Shows were moderated by Nova Meierhenrich. A band called Become One was formed with 7 of the candidates. A CD maxi entitled So Wonderful was released in October under the name Fame Academy coached by DJ Bobo.

Along with Thomas M. Stein, Shona Fraser and Thomas Bug, Dieter Bohlen was jury member of the first edition of DSDS (German equivalent of Pop Idol), RTL's casting-show. He quickly set the tone with his controversial sentences.
He produced the single We Have a Dream sung by the 10 finalists of the show. It was awarded most sold single of the year in Germany. He also produced the DSDS album United, which was also a commercial success.


Popstars - RTL 2 (Germany)

Alex Christensen was jury member, along with choreograph Detlef Soost and singer Noah Sow. The 4 winners formed the band Bro'Sis. He was criticized for so-called over-emotional conflicts with candidates, and for manipulating them as mere puppets... He answered that after all, no one had forced the candidates to participate.
Afterwards, Alex started collaborating with candidate Yasmin Knock.


Popstars - RTL 2 (Germany)

Along with Mario M. Mendryzcki and Rainer Moslener, Simone Angel formed the jury of the very first season of casting-show popstar. First episode aired on September. Aim of the season was to select female vocalists for a girls-band like the Spice Girls. The 5 winners entered the band No Angels.
