First produced by Phil Wilde and Jean-Paul De Coster as an instrumental in Spring 1991, Get Ready For This reached #2 in the UK charts. Ray Slijngaard was contacted to write lyrics and add the rap to the track. He also suggested bringing in a female vocalist who turned to be Anita Doth (Dels), a singer he knew from the club scene in Amsterdam. The new version was released in September the same year, and was an immediate hit in Europe, Australia and Japan.
